You Want Me To Do Some Dishes? or I'll Do Some Dishes is a brainrot meme based on a scene from the TV series Everybody Hates Chris where, during a cutaway fantasy sequence, Chris throws dishes out of the apartment window towards his parents and the cops after screaming, "You want me to do some dishes? I'll do some dishes," and is then blown up with a rocket launcher by his dad. The scene originates from season four, episode 19, and went viral on TikTok in late February and early March 2026, primarily as the subject of brainrot edits and compilations.

Origin

On April 3rd, 2009, season four, episode 19 of Everybody Hates Chris, titled "Everybody Hates Back Talk," aired on TV. In the episode, Chris refuses to wash the dishes and do the chores that his mother asks him to do. After refusing to do the dishes, Chris's mother threatens to call his father. A cutaway, fantasy sequence gag then plays showing Chris during a police standoff, throwing dishes out the window at the cops as if they're weapons. His father is then called to the scene and takes Chris out with a rocket launcher.^[1]

In February 2026, the scene emerged on TikTok as the subject of edits and memes. One of the earliest examples was posted on February 20th, 2026, by TikToker^[2] @mckrinkle0, garnering over 38,000 views in about a week.

On February 21st, 2026, TikToker^[3] @productionsdavo posted a brainrot compilation edit featuring the clip, along with other brainrot memes like Golden Dandelion and City Boy, garnering over 530,000 views in a week.

On February 27th, TikToker^[4] @evilxfrombfdilover2763 posted a similar edit that starts with the clip, followed by cuts to abstract patterns over noise, garnering over 198,000 views in four days.
