Twitter pages announcing that Young Sheldon was ending received viral quotes from people joking about Sheldon being assassinated, and about how sad they were that the show is ending. X^[4][5] users @Dayscd and @mountbellyache made jokes to this effect on May 16th, 2024, gathering over 60,000 and 70,000 likes, respectively, in a day (seen below).
