About

"Your TikTok Will Crash In: 07" Spinning Bread, also known as This Video Will Crash Your TikTok or Video That Will Crash Your TikTok, refers to a TikTok video of a spinning piece of bread with a countdown of seven seconds that causes TikTok's iOS version of the app to crash at the end of the clip due to a glitch suspected to be related to a similar glitch exploited on Discord. The video is usually paired with a low-quality version of Outkast's "Hey Ya!" as the TikTok sound. The viral video and glitch sparked curiosity among TikTok users in late 2022 and early 2023 as it was widely reposted on the platform.

Origin

Sometime in mid-December 2022, a currently unknown TikToker shared a video of a spinning piece of bread with a countdown reading, "Your TikTok will crash in: 07." As the clip counted down to zero seconds, many iOS users of the app began noting that the TikTok app crashed. The first known repost of the video was uploaded on December 17th, 2022, by TikToker[1] noticwyd, which received roughly 451,400 plays and 26,400 likes over the course of one month (shown below). The video, however, does not crash the TikTok app like the original purportedly did. In the comment section of the video, many commentators alleged that the original poster was banned resulting in the original clip's deletion.

Spread

Roughly a month later, on January 25th, 2023, TikToker[2] braylenisabum posted a video that was identical to the original, and unlike the aforementioned repost, TikToker[2] braylenisabum's clip did crash the iOS version of TIkTok's app upon the end of the countdown. In less than a day, the video received roughly 15,600 plays and 1,100 likes (shown below, left). An hour later, TikToker[3] gen2 then posted the same video which was also able to crash the iOS version of TIkTok's app. In less than a day, the video received roughly 270,400 plays and 24,600 likes (shown below, right).

On January 26th, 2023, TikToker[4] vuwf posted the video but instead of using the low-quality version of OutKast's "Hey Ya!" they used a Vexbolts audio of If He Can't Break Bread He Fake. Like the others, the TikTok post also crashed the iOS app, and in less than a day, it received roughly 27,900 plays and 1,400 likes (shown below).
