Donald Trump Jr. was either hacked on Twitter this morning or tweeted some news that would absolutely top that time he just… tweeted out his admission that he had email correspondence with Russian business officials in his dad's 2016 election campaign — but it's purportedly the former.

This morning, the Donald Trump Jr. Twitter account tweeted that Trump Sr. had died and that he (Trump Jr.) would now run for president in his father's stead.

The account also tweeted an explicit insult to President Joe Biden, threatened North Korea and said it had some "interesting messages" with Jeffrey Epstein.

It's safe to assume the uncharacteristic tweets were a result of a hack and not Trump Jr. undergoing some sort of intense "tweeting through it" episode (also, Trump Sr. is still alive).

On Instagram earlier today, Trump Jr. joked that he needed his "own social media guy" at this point and that he wanted the number of the hacker.

Some online took the hack as evidence of why paying for Twitter, which the site's owner Elon Musk, recently floated making everyone do, was not worth it.

Several posters asked that if such a high-profile figure (who is paying for Twitter currently) could get hacked, what would the average person be paying for?
