Elon Musk Volunteers To Impregnate Taylor Swift And Die For Her Cats In X Post
Elon Musk, one of the world's richest and most powerful men, used his platform X (formerly Twitter) last night to make a post in which he appeared to volunteer to impregnate pop star Taylor Swift and die for her cats.
This was in response to Swift endorsing Democratic Presidential candidate and VP Kamala Harris in the upcoming United States Presidential Election on Instagram last night.
In her post, she addressed a recent controversy in which people used AI to make it look like she was endorsing Donald Trump, and signed off, "With love and hope, Taylor Swift, Childless Cat Lady."
This is a clear swipe at J.D. Vance's 2021 comment in which he said women who haven't had children are unfit to be politicians and are "childless cat ladies."
To the numerous internet users who saw the tweet, it seemed like Musk was jokingly asserting that Taylor Swift's endorsement of Kamala Harris was a disguised plea to him to give her a child, which has predictably sparked controversy online.
Many online found this comment creepy, with some going so far as to call it a textbook example of sexual harassment and even a threat of rape.
The post drew widespread news coverage, drumming up yet another bit of controversy for Elon Musk, who is currently suing advertisers for not wanting to advertise on his platform.
He is also named in the lawsuit filed by Olympic boxer Imane Khelif for spreading misinformation that she is a transgender woman. He is also being sued by Benjamin Brody for tweeting that Brody was likely a government plant at a violent altercation between the Proud Boys and Rose City Nationalists, leading to Brody's doxxing and harassment.
Amid the backlash to Musk's post, some noted that Musk has been apparently trying to get Swift's attention on Twitter for years as a Taylor Swift reply guy, even though there is no evidence the two have ever interacted in real life or online. Swift appears to have never responded to Musk.
