The Vatican is investigating how the official Instagram of Pope Francis was caught pulling a Ted Cruz and liking a racy picture of a model on the platform. The obvious answer is that he simply appreciated the lady's nice posterior and double-tapped the picture, but the Vatican insists there's more to it than that.

The scandalous 'like' attracted internet attention last weekend, when Twitter user @snootid noticed the Pope's handle @franciscus in the likes of model Natalia Garibotto. Shortly after the screenshot began spreading, the Pope unliked the photo.

“We can exclude that the ‘like’ came from the Holy See, and it has turned to Instagram for explanations,” a Vatican official told The Guardian. The Guardian also quoted Robert Mickens, editor of Catholic newspaper La Croix, who said that there was no way the Pope was behind the like.

"The pope is not like Donald Trump, he’s not sitting around using his phone or computer to tweet all day long," he said. "He does, for example, approve the tweets -- but not the likes -- and on very rare occasions he has said he would like to tweet something because of a developing situation or emergency."

While the official opinion seems to be that the Pope getting horny on main but rather someone on his team, surely we can all agree that no one would begrudge the pope for appreciating a fine booty after surviving the hell of 2020.
