"So, um… what did you see?" Big Cat asked Tiffany Gomas.

"You really start off with that?" she replied. And so began the first full-length public interview of the "that MFer is not real" plane lady.

Earlier today, Gomas appeared on an episode of the Barstool Sports podcast Pardon My Take hosted by PFT Commenter and Big Cat. On it, she shared the story of her viral public freakout moment and her response to it afterward.

During the interview, she said, "I did not see anything." She gave up her aisle seat for another passenger and was in the middle seat with a "really bad energy" and got into "a bit of an altercation that spiraled out of control."

She went on, saying the "TMFINR" catchphrase was "an expression of speech" and she did not actually see an alien or any other sort of unusual being. Following this, she blamed the media and specifically the Daily Mail for running with the story and capturing her bad moment.

Gomas was on the plane in the first place in order to go to a family cruise, and so was relatively unplugged during the meme's initial spread. However, she knew that her public freakout might go viral and was searching "American Airlines" repeatedly on TikTok in anticipation.

Once she got home from the cruise, she discovered that she was a meme and didn't come out of her house for over four weeks.

Gomas also participated in a livestream, sitting on a sofa with the Pardon My Take guys and Clinton Portis, who was the running back for the Washington Commanders.

During the game, Portis said to Gomas, "When I first saw you, I thought your name was Karen." Gomas replied that she was not a Karen, although her behavior on the plane had been Karen-like, and now that they knew each other better they were friends.

The way Gomas looked at podcast co-host PFT Commenter also led to considerable meme-making online following the interview's release.

Others, like Fox News personality Megyn Kelly, expressed doubt about this story.

The podcast is the latest in a series of posts and media appearances Gomas has made in what seems to be a campaign to turn her viral fame into something more enduring or at least share her side of things.

She shared that she knew she was going to be a meme for the rest of her life, but added "humor got me through this whole thing."
