I think its more that she doesn't belong in those 'send this image back in time and tell people this is smash' memes people make. The Bayonetta franchise is younger than Brawl, so if you were to send an image with her in it back to the Brawl or Melee days people would have no idea who she is.

However, everyone in this line up existed before Smash 64 so this is pretty much the perfect line up for a 'send this image back in time and tell people it's smash bros' compilations as people would recognize these characters no matter what era of Smash Brothers you send it back to.
