This isn't really a paradox or 'gotcha' moment. Communist ideology is held in written works, and well off kids tend to get into good education systems, get exposed to communist ideas then reject their bourgeoisie background in favour of going all 'you have nothing to lose but your chains'.

Remember America's founding fathers backgrounds were monarchist, but they still went Republican

It's almost like the reason why communist revolutions always end up having a tyrannical elite class is because that's who the leaders were in the first place. They just wanted to replace the people already in power.
