I think that's the point.
I believe it is a parody of the memes in twitter that are like "I draw some SFW fan art and I only receive some likes, but other artist does fanart of the same thing but NSFW and it receives millions of likes".
The first few were funny, but later they became oversaturated and and it was only seen as a unoriginal way to ask for attention and blame other artist for their own relative obscurity.
