The Story is shown through the povs of Goncharov and his wife Katya as Goncharov tries to find his place As a Russian Immigrant forming his own underground crime ring in Naples, Italy C what? Simultaniously, the movie shows how their Marriage slowly crumbles as both of them become more and more obsessed with keeping the empire they made alive. This is shown through Goncharov's growing closeness with Andrey AND through the costumes and set dressings in Katya's scenes. The movie constantly uses the ticking of clocks to represent the running out of time. With the grandfather clock in the Parlor breaking representing the end of their marriage, Andrey's Pocket watch falling into the river at the end, and Katya's Assasination at the last stroke of midnight Jesse, What the F--- as you talking about?
