I do use Photoshop on the final image for a few color shifting filters and a sharpening mask then also questioned this saying that it looked like it was Al generated to me, and asked if they could provide the process from sketch to final, because authors would be the ones held accountable they use this cover commercially This designer deleted my comment and blocked me from the group. If that isn't proof of their guilt then...yeah So authors buyers, beware and pay attention to what you are buying Do not be afraid to ask questions Ask for their cover process. At least someone using a camera CAN be an artist. Takes real learned/acquired skill AND good gear to get a damn good shot.

I still can't find an use case for a legit AI artist where you can't draw parallels to something that already exist – reference pictures/figurines, AI in its current form is too much of a crutch compared to a wooden posing doll or storyboarding sketches.

(there might be but I don't think about it too much)

Some AI art is okay, but when it just utterly PILES up on sites like pixiv where I'm trying to find fanart of certain characters I love, it gets in the way of art drawn by humans.

And besides… they all have the same generic detailed anime-esque look to them.
