the original context honestly makes way more sense
not a question of who'd you rather be stuck with but what'd scare you more, that's an actual good hypothetical cuz like if it's a random dude in the woods there's a air of mystery that might be pretty spooky cuz "wha- why would someone hide in the woods, what might they be capable of!" yet at the same time does that fear of another human in a weird place outrank seeing something that can outright body and kill you borderline instantly? which fear is more felt or more close to home, its a damn good concept.
