Speaking as someone who does sculpting / character design all day every day, I have to say the turtles themselves look good from a technical viewpoint, and are close to the original design.
However, they are creepy as fuck. I don't think TMNT should be done in a photorealistic manner, but rather stylized. Doing them with a high detail / photorealistic approach blasts them straight in the uncanny valley. I think they'd fit perfectly in KYM's "untoons" gallery right now.
