An advertisment for 3DFX's graphic accelerator, Voodoo. 3DFX had been founded in 1994, and launched the Voodoo in 1997, quickly becoming the leader in the market. It is worth noting that in 1997, 3DFX worked with Sega to develop a prototype console called "Blackbelt." Sega instead decided on a design for the Dreamcast using NEC components. By the time of this advertisement, 3DFX was still a leader, but was rapidly declining. Nvidia would buy them in late 2000, and the company filed for bankruptcy in 2002.
For a person whose two brothers are computer geeks, I know surprisingly little about how computers work. It's all just Taiwanese Space Magic to me.
