Olive Garden N64 refers to memes about a fictional Nintendo 64 video game based on the Italian restaurant Olive Garden. The earliest known meme about an Olive Garden video game was posted in May 2020. Memes, including mockups of an Olive Garden game cartridge and posts pretending the game is real, became increasingly popularized over the next few years as they spread online.
Origin
On May 16th, 2020, Instagram[1] page nintendo_memories posted an image of a fake Nintendo 64 game cartridge for a game called "Olive Garden 2: More Breadsticks," writing in the description, "Since we can’t go to Olive Garden in real life, may as well go in the virtual 64-bit world. Olive Garden 2: More Breadsticks is a real treat to play right now. Three stars." The post gained over 190 likes and is the earliest known meme about an Olive Garden video game.

On September 6th, 2021, Redditor Soupreem posted an image of a fake cartridge for an "Olive Garden Italian Restaurant" game on the Nintendo 64 to the /r/gamecollecting[2] subreddit, asking, "Anyone know of any copies for sale?" garnering over 350 upvotes in five years. The cartridge was created by Instagram[3] user and artist fakehandshake and posted online on an unknown date.
On September 5th, 2022, Redditor 5_Frog_Margin posted another of fakehandshake's Olive Garden cartridge photos to the /r/hmmm[4] subreddit, garnering over 12,000 upvotes in four years.
On September 15th, 2023, Instagram[5] user thenintendoworld reposted the image, gaining over 18,000 likes in three years.
On February 25th, 2026, YouTuber[6] gsosa.3 posted a video sharing the supposed title screen song for the Olive Garden video game, garnering over 53,000 views in four days.
On March 1st, X[7] user and YouTuber @wavywebsurf posted a screenshot of the YouTube video by gsosa.3, writing, "I don't see many people talk about this game much but it was honestly one of my favorites to rent from blockbuster back in the day," garnering over 6,200 likes in a day.
