Gootecks is one of the hosts of the Internet series CrossCounterTV and the Excellent Adventures of Gootecks and Mike Ross. He’s known for being a skilled fighting game player from Southern California, but the meme originated on 4chan’s /v/ at around mid-2009. Aside from being quite the rediculous person, Gootecks is a living goldmine of reaction faces and macros that have spread across 4chan like wildfire.
What launched this meme was the TF2 Raffle meme which uses Gootecks’ face.
