I noticed that the derailment began as soon as people started pessimistically saying "inb4 lock" which was really just a reaction induced from TK being the OP. Up until that point, everyone was role playing.

TK himself also should have let loose a little. His seriousness made everyone else want to take him less seriously

I've been pissed off about this for months. It's been primarily this site, but it's been other things too.

Yes, that's how it's always been. But we need to suck it up and be the bigger side. If we do let it get to us and act out against it, we're only going to be confirming their thoughts on us. Just realize that they're biased idiots who are insanely butthurt because they refuse to accept something they don't like. Pay no mind to any of their opinions. I tend to ignore any of their opinions because it's not worth the mental anguish to try and decipher their nonsensical gibberish they pass off as human language.

Edit: Also, according to Daniel Vasquez, other fandoms had to put up with this crap back in their days too.

The reason I like them is mostly because of the fan art, comics, and fics obviously. The show doesn't give me much reason to like them. And yes, I love trollestia and Molestia. Its funny to me!

I'm gonna make the prediction of the downfall of MLP as we know it and its devolution into a quagmire of absolute crap. Let's hope Studio B can prove me wrong.

@Connor: I don't think the alicorns will be the downfall of the series. They may even provide some backstory as to the origins of Celestia and Luna. What I do fear though is that with more alicorns popping up fans will think it's okay to have alicorn OCs. The dreaded Mary Sues will be possible now. We're doomed.

Until we see the episode and see how Studio B handles it, I'm going to assume that MY FANON IS DEEEAAADDDDD!!!!!

Well so far all the canon alicorn characters have been princesses, so unless people can justify the royal family being bigger then the actual cast I still see any alicorn FC being booed off the stage immediately.

I'm sorry. That was inconsiderate. I'm beginning to have a lot of faith in the team. If they put the characters in the show, then I believe they will be fun and/or interesting characters.

MLP may die either due to being cancelled, simply ending, or the team being broken up and becoming different from Lauren Faust's creation, but I don't think the appearance of another alicorn is going to mean or mark the end of the best of FiM.

I'm curious and/or ignorant. Why do you consider this the end of the fanon? Couldn't it be that the royal family is slightly more…extended? Couldn't one of them be the equivalent of, say, Princess Margaret?

It just fucks the fuck up out of my fanon. There just can't be another princess.

I'm going to go finish my essay (sadly I chose to do it on internet censorship and not bronies, but I did manage to fit us in a little) then I will be back to give a full answer. I'll probably be up to 11 tonight with homework. Good thing I'm not tired!

Well, yeh. Obviously adding new characters doesn't mean the demise of anything, even if one of 'em's an alicorn. It's not like they're gunna reveal a whole country full of them anyway.

It's rumored the two newcomer's wedding will the the subject of the season finale. As a concept it's solid, a little girly, but they managed to turn a gala into a madhouse last time so I'm not worried.

In conclusion, if these guys can make me love princess Luna, these guys are miracle workers. We haven't gotten enough solid new characters this season anyway.

Honestly, I don't give a flying buck either. I'm dying to know if she'll be another god-like pony, and if so, what's her special talent. But what worries me is how the fandom will react to that. The most sensitive ones about their headcanons may think that Studio B may fuck up if the series, but there's nothing known yet.
