Year of the dragon? Dammit, I'm a rat……………..stinkin Jan 19 birthday. Oh, well. Happy Chineese New Year!
Also, Dan, you double-posted. But at least they're on different pages. How often does that happen?
As for the R34, IT WAS THE FUMES.

It's known as a pic dump but who cares. Hang your heads in shame.

God, X. That song, any version of it, gets me every time. For some reason, it makes me happy and sad simultaniously. I don't know why. The 8-Bit version at the end of "Ponies: The Anthology" is the one that gets me the most.

Note to self…freaking Connor out is fun. Place random sentences in posts praising Connor on the most vague of comments to confuse him…

Oh, it's just how you said what you said, Connor. It was interesting, that's all. There wasn't much to it. You're not The Chosen One or anything. Probably.

I like explanations, give them to me! At least PM me, I really want to know what you (and everypony else, for that matter) thinks.

I'm a dog on the Chinese calender, woof woof.
(If you are born on the year of the dragon, does that make you Dragonborn?)
I need to sleep so I am going to bed, night all.

Now calm down before Angel RandomMan gets in you three ponies.

@BSOD
Yeah, I guess. though I do like the look of sketches. But Im sure it will look better If I color it in. I've just been practicing drawing ponies lately, but not like the way they look in the show, more like megasweet or Don-komandoRR. I really like their style.

Me too, bro, me too. 1990 was truly a year of portent.

@Dac: Nice work, keep it up.

Sunset.

I feel bad for posting nothing substantial lately, but I don't really have much to say. I've had a lot of problem sets and grad school apps and stuff going on lately, so I haven't been giving much thought to the thread.

Here, flush it out with some non-pony music
I find this song to flush anything out. Everyone else, don't get mad. It may be non-pony, but if it helps Greg, then it's good. The vid is best listened to in the highest quality. Unlike other vids, it actualy makes a noticable difference. Also, if the pic offends you, the guy made it to go with the music. Not for R34, not for anything of that sort. He expects people to be mature about it, and most of the time, they are. So please, honor my request and not complain.
Well, it's time for me to go to bed. It's 12:37 over here, and the 'Rents have no idea that I was in the basement the whole time. See ya all tomorrow!

…blah blah blah grad school apps blah blah blah…

You're officially excused from having any obligation to posts approaching any threshold of quality in my book.

I nearly had to graduate from undergrad with just one degree because of grad school applications. I needed the time and the money, because my parents couldn't help me out with stuff anymore. Deadlines, essays, letters of recommendation, application fees, sending standardized test scores, fees for standardized test scores…oh, and while you're still taking classes…

Currently, most of the thread hasn't had a Pony topic that I've had much to say about. And I don't want to pose something now in this state and have it be ignored. I need burning, BSoD, opspe, Algernon, and various others to be nearby to pose those. Gigatoast would probably be really helpful in the writer-based discussion.

Verbose-

I shouldn't be complaining about grad school apps; I didn't have to do the GRE or write any essays. Things are easier up here.

I've been thinking a bit about your writing discussion idea, and unfortunately I don't pay enough attention to notice who writes what. I can conduct some research (in between my actual research, my paper on organouranium chemistry, and my other paper on using GIS in Near East archaeology; yeah, I'm busy, dealwiddit) and maybe we can discuss tomorrow – it's certainly interesting.

And for the record, I tend to be around, even if I'm not posting – if I'm home I usually check the thread every half-hour or so during the day, so if you attempt to initiate a discussion I'll try to back you up.

Ah, the hypothetical discussion may or may not be all that big. A lot of it would just be based on opinion, and I forget who said that as long as they were close, how they were written wasn't that big of a deal to them.

I'd do the research. Just a simple table with all of the writers, the episodes to their credit, and the characters appearing in the episodes.

Episode Writer Those of the Mane Six Appearing Mare in the Moon Lauren Faust All

And so forth. I'd probably color-code the writers or something to make a massive table look bigger than that (or use Google docs or something with that info.) That way, we could just look at that table and make our decisions.

The only debate would stem from how we think the characters should be, and there'd be the assumption that the characters are actually as they are written so Pinkie is was completely nuts in these episodes and not in other episodes, but they are all canon and therefore accurate.

I may do it at some point soon anyway. Who knows. I've got a lot of free time this early in the semester.

Yeah, screw this textile guide. I'm just going to use an excel doc.

Oh man I'd love to see that. That show is great but I feel like it's dying off like tosh.0, the initial hype seems to be gone. Man if I had a tablet or the energy to use photoshop and flash I'd make that.

Oh by the way, I'm baaaaaaack! Hide your kids etc.

What have you all been up to? It always seems like I have peaks of activity here and then just fade off, I need to get on that and be consistently active.

Edit: Oh snap, the moment I post the site goes into minimal mode for maintenance. That's my luck.

The Horror!

I am bringing great shame to my family by trying to get out of this university shit with just one degree.

I MUST COMMIT SUDOKO!

It seems you're working on this, if you don't have the time. I got some to burn doing this.

You know what is one thing we have never talked about? what do people here like to wear. So to anyone one still here, how do you dress? What brands do you use? shoes? pants?

I MUST COMMIT SUDOKO!

I suspect may be falling for a geek-trap but *Seppuku

@Dac

I wear Jeans Shirts and Shoes…and that's about it.

I have no idea what brand. I tend to just wear whatever I find in my closet, I don't care about having a fashion sense but all my clothes are jeans and shirts anyway.

Although I like having a dress shirt over the top of a casual shirt with the buttons undone so it feels like a cool cape when the wind blows.

I also have this cool purple hat with stars all over it. [1 Man point deducted from Man rating]

Ponies get it easy. They are born looking trendy and fashionable and they wear their style on their birthday suits 24/7. No need to subscribe to fashion trends at all.

May I point you to this very well written KYM article:

https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/shamefur-dispray

My it is so well written the author must be a sexy well endowed man. I want to do the sex with him.

As for the clothing thing:

Back in Saudi Arabia, my entire closet consisted of 15 white thobes like you see above. All exactly the same in appearance. It's like when Mickey Mouse opens his closet and you see nothing but red overalls.

Damn, can't believe I'm still awaken.

But I'm not the type that uses a specific brand. Just any clothes that I hit my eyes on and think "hum, this one looks nice" will do for me. Same for shoes and pants (though I preffer to wear mostly jeans, shorts are only when it really calls for). Don't like wearing accesories as well (caps, collars,…), and my favourite shirt colours are mostly black and red.

Just a regular Shirt and Jeans, nothing special or over the top. No jewelry besides a watch, no headgear or glasses either.

Over my fur I wear only the most beautiful silk. Stitched together by holy virgins under the rain of orphan tears, perfected with the most beautiful of diamonds.

If my "minimalist dresser" you mean we don't go around dressed like Russell Brand, then I guess you're right. As for me, I tend to, you guessed it, go for jeans and t-shirts – never pony ones though. I also frequently have to wear coats because of the unceasing rain. My shoes were once described to me as being "fresh." And that's about it. I wouldn't say I'm entirely apathetic, because I do have a personal style, it's just, er, minimalist. I think you nailed it.

Before I go into my TL;DR, let me just say that I am this way because of my sister. She works in the fashion industry.
I love sunglasses, especially my aviators and my D&G sunglasses similar to these….
I like my sunglasses to have metal frames and glass lenses personally.
I wear Diamond earrings and have a faux hawk( any similarities with Cristiano R. are completely coincidental) I also wear bracelets
As far as clothes go, Obviously depends on the season. In the winter, I use my D&G Bomber jacket or my Kooples jacket primarily( both are fur or animal skin, I like that). I also have this burberry trench coat, but its not very warm, I just use it as a raincoat. I wear scarves as well, my favorite ones are my burrberry and one I got from celio( for just 24 euros, I looks really good for that price). My favorite brand of jeans are levis and replay.
As far a shirts go, I have no reservations over what I wear, as long as they work well with everything else. I have a rhinestone covered 007 diamonds are forever shirt and a sequin superman shirt, so I'll wear anything really. I bought some Pinkie pie shirts, so I'll spend some time styling those when they come.
Now on to shoes. I like fabric shoes in the summer or my Y-3 and D&Gs. As for the winter, I have a couple pair of boots I use.
As you can probably tell, I love clothes and shopping.

We're talking about clothes?
eh, why the hell not.
I usually wear band shirts and jeans with a plaid shirt over the top. At home I wear glasses but at school I wear contacts. If it's really cold I'll wear a beanie, a coat and sometimes fingerless gloves (rockin' the hobo look).
Imagine this but 15 and less Devo.
