He returns. I'll add you later, I've just been too doing stuff to do stuff.

I was actually thinking of having a TF2 fest tonight. I can and opspe said he could, I'm guessing that pyro can and that some of the bronies from the steam group could join in. Anypony wanna do that?

God damn it. I never backed up TF2 after I reinstalled my Windows and I can't download it.
Fibre-Optic internet (main line) 99GB of 75GB used (132%)
3G high-speed 6GB/6GB (100%)
Dial-up 8hrs of 10hrs used. And its fucking slow so im not downloading TF2 over dial-up
No proper internet till the 6th

Oh my god someone Gorilla Glued that Flim-Flam song in my head it's so ungodly catchy! I guess you could technically call that the first real villain song of the series, which is why it's so awesome. Not to mention the 40s carnival barker feel appealed to my interesting taste in music.

Must not rest until I've memorized the whole thing!

@Connor:
I'd love to join you in a bit of TF2in' but my PC's hard drive is on the fritz so it's very unpredictable.

@Pyro: Come on. Can't I have a little fun in the thread?

I don't know. Can you? To be like you from earlier, it's hard to tell what someone's tone is over the internet. I don't mean to be mean, but that's all that it is. As for the TF2 marathon, I'll ask my 'rents. If they say no, I might be able to sneak into the basement like a couple nights ago. That aside, YES. X would probably want to join. We can get some of those achievements that require friends. The internet here is good, but I'm worried about lag. It might happen. MAYBE.
EDIT: I moved this post from last page to here because I didn't feel like double-posting my answer for the TF2 marathon. So if it seems out of order, that's why. Don't worry, I deleted the other one.

Yeah, I had a thought. Today's episode is totally analogous to/based on The Story of John Henry. If you don't know what that is, it's a very famous American folk tale in which a Black railroad worker, the mightiest in the land I might add, competes in a tunnel-boring contest with a steam-powered drilling machine and wins.

Now here's a really awesome pic.

A combination of Saints Row 2 and not yet having The Old Republic is making me rage, so this sounds like a very good idea.
Do we all have mics? I've got one.

TF2 marathon? Yes. Mics? I have one, but it would mean using my laptop as a laptop (15 inch screen vs 23 inch monitor), so I probably won't be using mine, unless I can rig something up.

Crossover time. This had occurred to me, I'll admit.

@Verbose (below):

Aaaahhhhh. I knew it. I'd also be down for Synchtube.

OK FINE OPSPE

In unrelated news, Tekaramity (the person who broke the news) is no longer a mod on EqD.

Journalism is hard, guys. And if that holds up, that's a really tough break for him. It wasn't a very simple troll.

SynchTube, yes. TF2, no Steam, slows my computer down too much. But there doesn't seem to be a lot of support for it yet. But then again, Algernon will need to start soon, because it's 11:30 out there or something.

So, are we going for TF2 or SynchTube? I'd be cool with either, but I don't like the idea that we'd be neglecting half of the users here by going on TF2, when pretty much everybody can manage SynchTube.

How bout we take scheduled breaks from killing each other to watch ponies? That sounds good to me.

As for a mic, I have a headset with a mic somewhere it I'm not sure if we need software or whatever to set it up. I just use chat.

I don't care wich. I can handle both. Anyone who wants to TF2, can. Everyone else, SynchTube is the overflow. I can multitask. Opspe has a good idea. That could work.

We could do Synchtube first, when more people are around, and then go to TF2 after a couple of episodes (like 4-6).

Yeah that sounds good. Plus ill have TF2 in 30min. Bell is gonna hate me. Im already at 144% bandwidth usage

How the hell did I get ninja'd 3 times in the process of posting a link to a SynchTube room? I'd originally edited this into the last message, but now it seems more appropriate to post a new one.

Here's the room

@Connor
But then what would people like Verbose do? Sit and wait while we have fun?
I think it would be best if we scheduled TF2 for a time when it doesn't clash with SynchTube. I'd be interested in joining as long as it happens while I'm awake and not busy with work or anything.

I have crayons. I'll be fine. (Actually, it's a puzzle I've been wanting to start for a while. And I have some video games that I could play too. And homework. PSH. Stop that mess it's Saturday.

I figure everyone else will be fine too.

@ Ideo
In daniels defense, that scene doesn't leave much room for any other interpretation than Fluttershy embarrassed of being naked.

Hai gais.
Thought I'd give my verdict on the episode. I thought it was pretty awesome, dunno why, could be the song, that song was great. I'm glad I wasn't the only person who thought of the monorail song. Something I've noticed actually is that the songs in season 2 are so much more complicated than the season 1 songs. Cupcakes uses a load of easy chords in C major which makes it super easy to learn. Find a Pet uses diminished chords! DIMINISHED CHORDS! and I'm pretty sure there's a few key changes in there too. I tried doing a cover of that song but it took ages and sounded terrible so I gave up. anyway, I'm pretty sure the Flim Flam brothers' song is a complicated one so I'm not going to bother learning or covering that. Wow, this turned from an analysis of the episode to an analysis of the music of the show. Man I suck at posting.

#swag

Speaking of swag. I noticed how a store in my mall actually has MLP shirts and Pins. I got a shirt and a Rainbow Dash Pin today. To make things better when I wore it today when the pizza guy showed up he noticed my shirt and said "Bronies unite"
Today was pretty well.

Speaking of MLP shirts, my welovefine shirts have not come in and its been 10 days now. I paid 2 day shipping to wear one to a party. I need to call them up and demand they pay me the money back for the shipping. This is just getting ridiculous.

You guys know how after Derpy talked in last week's episode we talked about who we wanted to hear speak next in the show? Well guess who had her first lines? Hint: She is often shipped with Lyra.

Late reply I know but Bon Bon has spoken before during Call of the Cutie (when Applebloom stuffs her saddlebags with apples), in Green isn't your color (When looking for Fluttershy in Rarity's Boutique) Lesson Zero (where she fights over the doll) .

I'm surprised to see many people say things like "So the consensus is this episode was "meh"?" or things like "Like most everyone else, I didn't like this episode much".

From what I see, most people liked the episode (not sure of the EQD comment doomsayers are on patrol, just gauging from this thread) so it would be incorrect to say that the majority didn't like it.

But hey, if you don't like the episode. That's okay, different strokes for different folks afterall!

I know that feel bro, mine just recently shipped, though I just chose the regular shipping and not the one you did.

Well… I've returned to the thread. And… I'm not in the family picture. And I missed it because of one single thing. One.

I am kind of sad over this. I'll get over it, but… stuff like this only happens once and I missed by a fucking thread. So I'm not feeling the best. Hopefully some time here'll get my spirits up… and then tomorrow I can rage through Steelport in a Crusader tank and take it all out on the poor, poor citizens, police, and Syndicate.

Anyways, onto topics of discussion.

THE LATEST EPISODE: Just around a point that was after halfway through the episode (this may be confusing but run it through your head a few times) I literally saw the "hard work pays off" Aesop charging at me like a freight train going two hundred fifty kilometres an hour racing towards a trapped car on the railroad. The episode itself was good, the Flim Flam brothers were… well, travelling salesmen (who a few seconds ago just reminded me of Nigel West Dickens), and the episode was good anyway.

A SMALL QUESTION: Who's Tekaramity? I'd at least like a little background info on him to help me understand what's going on.

ONE FINAL WORD: Fuck midterms. Honestly? Fuck it. It made me take a small hiatus and be lazy, and in that event I missed the SOPA protests, the family picture, and one single request because of my changed avatar that now makes me feel like enough shit to start cappin' asses with dual explosive .45s or take the aforemented tank and go on a rampage through the aforemented city.

We can thank the Great and Powerful Muumi for the drawing and opspe for the coloring.

The drawing and coloring skills, I jelly.

@Sparty: Yeah, only difference between them and Dickens is that their machine actually worked until they turned off the quality control.
