I already did silly!
Ugh, derails, I hate them. I think I'm going to leave the thread until they stop.

I haven't seen a sweetie derail for months, almost makes me miss them.
Almost.

Every user gets a second chance, we'll see what he does first.
But currently I doubt he'll survive long.
But I agree with Chris. Don't flame him or anything. We'll keep a close eye on him. If he keeps doing with what he did in the past, we'll be taking action soon enough.

that's already the 3rd or 4rth chance
btw: he just changed his old profile to look like the new one but you can still easily tell the posts appart due to his "unique" writing style. now it looks like he is really talking to himself; it's too hilarious!
Yeah, I can already tell that that person is not going to last long…again, and yeah, it does, and yes, it is pretty funny.

I checked the IP of both accounts and can confirm they're not the same user. The second account is just a copycat/troll. He has been warned about this as impersonating like that isn't allowed.
Maybe you guys can help me with something, so far I have everything except for the deals with the stars, like the intelligence and such. Any suggestions.
For those who like anime:

Would the era be considered present day?

I would say switch the audiences around. While you can make a children's film cheap but successful, if you want to do the show any justice, aim it at families. Typically, family movies can give WAY more room for creativity and success.

Done, any suggestions about the deal with the stars?

I'm looking at the game right now, and other then maaaybe Fantasy Current Era, I can't think of anything else that it would be.
meanwhile….
nothing happened
Ok, ok. I think I got it this time.
Here are the actual results of that survey I made so much fuss about.
And here is the supplement.
A Quick Summary:
- Most respondents were between 15 and 19. Some were older, but fewer were younger.
- Overwhelmingly white, male, and straight. However, there were responses for other races and sexual orientation. Only one person identified as female.
- Most were single and not in a relationship. All respondents were single (i.e., not ever married)
- Most were not furries and felt neutral about furries.
- Most people began watching the show in March 2011 or in July 2011.
- There were relatively few people who watched the show from it's premiere or began to watch the show recently.
- Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were the favorites of the Mane Six.
- Rarity and Applejack got the fewest favorite responses.
- A lot of people said they had not favorite.
- Rarity and Rainbow Dash were considered least favorite the most often.
- That is to say Rainbow Dash is a very polarizing pony, because she got a lot of favorite votes and least favorite votes.
- Most people said they had no least favorite though.
- Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie were least likely to be the least favorite pony.
- Luna, Derpy Hooves/Spike, Scootaloo were considered the most favorite secondary characters.
- Gummy and Angel were the most favorite pets.
- Random is going to kill us all. So thanks for that.
- Lesson Zero is, by far, the most favorite episode.
- Party of One, Return of Harmony (Part 1)/The Last Roundup had the next highest responses.
- Mysterious Mare Do Well is, by far, the least favorite episode.
- Most people had no least favorite episode.
- The rest of the responses were widely distributed around 1-3 responses (Mare in the Moon had 4)
- Most people like the characters/characterization, the humor, the design of the show, and the storyline.
- Most people believe that FiM is not the best show ever created.
- Most people are bronies and like the show, but a few people are unsure if they're bronies and like the show.
- Most people who were not bronies are neutral about the show, and they do not like or dislike it.
- Favorite shippings were Fluttershy X Big McIntosh and Lyra X BonBon.
- Most people enjoy fanart, lurk around brony activities, and post on brony sites/threads.
- Most respondents don't buy any merchandise for FiM whatsoever.
- Most respondents are generally closeted/stabled bronies (i.e., would tell some people offline, but wouldn't bring it up themselves.)
- Few respondents are at the extremes (i.e., denying brony status altogether or actively telling people.)
- Most people are neutral towards shipping or enjoying art or fanfiction involving it only occasionally.
- Again, few people do not tolerate it at all or enjoy it regularly.
- Most people are neutral towards grimdark content or do not enjoy it.
- R34 of FiM is largely frowned upon.
- Most people do not tolerate it at all.
- Many are neutral on the matter, but not as many who do not think it is right.
Yes, that was brief.
That's good to look at for now, if you want something discuss that doesn't cause immediate negakrama to come forth from my index finger (granted, I've been annoyed, and shouldn't have done that.)
@opspe
You can go ahead and run analyses if you'd like. The only tables I have are things that didn't show up in the Google-generated graphs, so if you need more, then let me know.
I'm going to go ahead and start making other items more closed-ended in case EqD decides to take it.
Apparently, a Google spreadsheet can handle 400,000 cells. The questionnaire is producing 32 cells, so a larger study would only be able to handle about 12,000-13,000 respondents. However, the free student account for surveygizmo handles only 500 accounts. Surely, surveymonkey wouldn't have more than 12,000 if its competitor only offers 500.
I think I should be able to copy the spreadsheet, delete the new responses for the copy, and keep accepting responses on that one if we get more responses than 12,000. Even if not, then I'll be plenty happy with ~12,000 responses.
Apparently, I tl;dr'd…
@RandomMan
Once I get the questionnaire changed, I'll send you a PM if you'd still would be willing to talk to Calpain on our behalf. That may be about 8-10 hours from now. If you want me to type up something for him, then I'll say what this survey seeks to do in somewhat formal and somewhat verbose language.
@Muumi (because I know you're out there…)
I'll contact you at about the same time I contact RandomMan.

raikoh14 doesn't get enough love.
@Verbose – Awesome. I'm just starting to look for covariances, mostly with age so far. I'll post the results when I'm done.

@Verbose and his Tl;Dr, which I enjoyed reading
Well, these results are a sucess! I'd say that the survey is a great one, based on these. If opspe can organize them even more, then we have an almost complete analasys of the fanbase located here on KYM. But, it needs to spread. It will, and soon we shall have the analysis of the complete fanbase, not just our little corner. I have complete faith in it. And you as well, Verbose.
I wish I caught that survey, I would've taken it myself but somehow I missed it.
Also, for my HM3 game, which one of these sounds better for Nightmare Moon? Cruel, Mean, Conniving or Bad? The others just don't seem to fit at all.
@Emmett
Try "Sinister", "Sadistic", "Maniacal", "Treacherous", or something along those lines. Use powerful words, they tend to create a feeling that brings the game to life.

Actually, it's a drop down menu, most of these options where characters are concerned are, and I can only choose one option.
Said options are Cruel, Mean, Conniving, Bad, Barbaric, Satanic, Self-Righteous and Murderous, and I'm not sure which one fits best.

I like the results (except for religion. I should have made that closed-ended. It's nice to give people the option to express their faith as they see fit, but just misspelling a word or rearranging words or adding an odd denomination made classifying them hard. I can' categorize them, but that's on the back burner for now.)
And there are some problems, but I like the survey too. I think it's novel enough to stand on it's own as opposed to just adding to other studies. But we'll see.
@CitationNeeded (well, it was below…)
…I don't see any Twilight Sparkle or Pinkie Pie.
I think something is wrong with your folder.

What does CitationNeeded carry around in his pony folder?
Well, I'm glad you didn't ask….
Feel free to ask for a link to any of those pictures you see.
@Verbose
I think just taking away the option to write text under "other" should work just fine. That way we still can see who'se seperated from the listed ones. But, to compensate, I would add some more options. That would balance it out. As for other issues, I don't see any. Fixing the religion one should work just fine.

@ Cite put them in a .zip or .rar. or w/e and host em on like dropbox or something.
Take the entire folder, i.e all the files and host em somewhere so its a one-link download

You're right. What fun is there in making sense? Randomness is much more satisfying. By the way, haven't seen Ideo around here lately. Hopefuly he's not dead.
Hello fellas!
I know it's almost a week away but… What are your thoughts??
@Verbose
Nice to see the survey is getting results already. But of course, it still needs time, and as Pyro pointed, needs to spread a bit. Just a bit more and it's (hopefully) off to EqD!
Did somepony called Random?
Okay, I've looked at the data, and I've determined the following. There was a lot of uncorrelated variance between the huge range of responses and respondents, but one thing that did appear to have some correlations was age with various attitudes towards aspects of the fandom:
- Older (i.e. above the mean age – 17.5) respondents were more likely to tell anyone and/or to volunteer that they are bronies. However, the only two open bronies were below the mean age.
- Younger respondents were slightly more likely to consider MLP:FiM the best show ever.
- Shipping was generally enjoyed by younger respondents, while older respondents tended towards neutral; older respondents who did not enjoy it were more likely to tolerate it than younger respondents who did not enjoy it.
- Grimdark was either enjoyed or hated by younger respondents; older respondents were either neutral or slightly biased towards one side or the other.
- Similar to grimdark, R34 was either sexually enjoyed or outright hated by younger respontents, although there were a markedly higher number of young respondents who held neutral attitudes towards it; older respondents who enjoyed it did so for the humour, and were overall more tolerant of its existence.
- No age-related trends were observed in choosing favourite and least-favourite Mane 6 characters.
The biggest conclusions that can be drawn from this are the following:
- Younger respondents are more easily polarized on issues.
- Older respondents tend to be more ambivalent and tolerant.
God, too many derailers. You know what? Have another one! I have so many!
@opspe Good job analyzing the results. I'd say it's because older ones tend to learn that you just have to accept things, while younger bronies tend to from opinions and stick with them, due to their minds being ready to conform to things. We all remember the playground "No, you're wrong!" fights.

Yeah, who are those 2 people who voted Gummy?
I won't hurt you, I promise.
Thanks, opspe. And thanks, Pyro. The good thing about open-ended pilot question is that I get an idea of what responses need to be in a closed-ended question. Religion was the one that crossed my mind as a problem, but the way you suggested is what I had in mind as to how to fix it for a larger survey.
Still have the concern about wondering why people would want to participate in a survey that I made (even if it's on behalf of KYM.) Not going to stop me, and I think it's a better constructed tool than other questionnaires, but still.
Anywho, how y'all like rumors?
This is a rumor (albeit a well-spread one) about how the name Derpy Hooves will stay. Thing is, this is from "Hasbro" in the UK. I'd be more sold if it were from the US branch. As it stands, I'm not really sold on anything. But I like following how the show develops and how the fandom responds.
Promise? I don't need your promises. Just try and get me, and you'll end up in my next batch of rabbit stew. Roasted bunny is best bunny for stew.

@Verbose
Thanks for the thanks. As for the why part, it's because if it makes it to EqD, it must be good. That midset is deep withing everyone, so they'll go for it. If it doesn't end up on EqD, I have a couple friends over on DA, YouTube, and JJ's livestream that can spread it. A couple are LiveStream mods, and regularly visit all the big named streams. The amount of people that watch should generate much publicity.

Im not believing that Hasbro UK deal. Having contacted Hasbro US, they told me that they are investigating the issue, and have had several reports about Derpy's name.
I figure they are not at liberty to confirm or deny any rumors so I say that UK email is bullshit.
Episode is still not back in iTunes which means they have taken it down for something, either editing or w/e.

Investigating ponies and contemplating questionnaires.
I'm not sold on anything so underhanded. I just think that the UK branch wouldn't know what the US branch would be doing. They probably said what they intend on doing, which could change if the primary branch says something else.
I find it odd how WeLoveFine would take to selling Derpy-named merchandise before Hasbro claimed Derpy to be a part of the MLP family. WeLoveFine can't deal with advocacy groups, but Hasbro could rather easily.
But then again, maybe Hasbro would care more about its appearance than WeLoveFine. WeLoveFine probably caters to a small demand anyway, so they probably care about lawsuits more than bad press. Hasbro can deal with lawsuits, but bad press would potentially cut into their demand/quality of their products.

Nah, it's just gotten less active recently. No biggie.
Also, pony jigsaw puzzles!
I need to see if there is a FiM IRL jigsaw puzzle that has 500 or more pieces. Might even get it if it was Fluttershy.
Hear that hypothetical Hasbro intern? EVEN. FLUTTERSHY.
…
I'D PREFER TWLIGHT SPARKLE OR RARITY THOUGH.
Alright, gotta leave now.
