Welcome, PluNlu (no, I did not copy and paste your name to avoid having to figure out if those were L's or I's!)
You know, since I'm up late again with work, I decided to float on back to the thread and see what was up. Nintendork64 had found that quiz, so I thought it would be nice to go ahead and confirm my obviously Twilight-like pers-
…Well, then.
I guess that makes sense. Incoming tl;dr.
I like Rarity, but I'm nothing like her. I'm not concerned with easily changeable aspects of my looks, love sports and physical stuff, and prefer to use whatever wit and smarts I have over my charm.
I'm surprised I have any Pinkie traits, but not so much Fluttershy. When I want quiet, I want quiet and right then. And I usually want quiet. I give my all for my friends, but I usually don't want to bother with new people if I can help it. Nothing against people I don't know, but if I'm going to be friends with a person, I want to be a good friend. I'm going to put a lot into the relationships I have.
The Dash section is probably due to my love of sports. I love working out with weights, more cardiovascular stuff like running, and team sports. I've always been a better than average athlete. But I've always been a better than average student as well. I like discussing things and figuring out the nature of the world (generally, people.)
I guess there's a lot of Applejack in those traits though. I'm too quiet (believe it or not) to be bluntly honest, but I dislike having to blatantly lie. Own up to your mistakes or dismiss lies as such. Let's get to the heart of the matter so we can fix it. And I've certainly worked myself ragged in my responsibilities (up at 4am for research, because I said I'd do it before a certain date or trying to make sure I can address the people who contact me directly on KYM.)
But I'm not upset at all. AJ is the most balanced pony of the bunch. I consider my self-perceived well-roundedness to be one of my greatest strengths.
The in-depth description does seem to fit me.
A real hard worker you are, yup. If there's one thing you hate, it's being inactive or coming across as lazy. You'll put in more effort than anyone else, even if it may be against your better judgement or even if delagating your work is a smarter option.
Can't stand being lazy. I'm a slacker in some sense, but if I have a responsibility, I'll do my best to get it done. Especially if someone else is relying on my performance.
It's not surprising to see you working all day long, even if it's to help friends out. However, friendship is still important to you, so you will always, always stick to your commitments and keep your promises.
All of undergrad; in work, in research, in extracurriculars, and with my friends. I regret nothing about the effort I spent on my friends. Maybe everything else though…
You're a tell-it-like-it-is pony, not holding your tongue and telling whoever whatever's on your mind or what your true thoughts are. Thankfully, you can still pick your words carefully and still keep some sensitivity towards what you say. But, others may find you irritable in appearance if you're not getting your way or you feel against something.
Dunno. You'd have to tell me. I feel like I hold my tongue a lot, but any halfway perceptive person could figure out if I'm annoyed with something (I think nukefire saw that brief hiatus from a while ago coming.) I don't get annoyed or bothered much, but when I do, I'm not going to try to hide it. I'm going to want to try to fix the problem. Preferably without starting new ones.
Ergo, hiatus.
You are also most likely to be athletic and into staying fit, knowing that if you're not, you won't be able to keep up with your work. Fashion and looking good aren't on the top of your priorities, to say the least.
My work is actually school and research. I like to be athletic, because I like being physically able to do just about anything. It's nice knowing you can run a mile if you need to or bench your body weight or fill in for a person on a recreational sports team.
I don't care about fashion at all. I like jeans and a comfy t-shirt in the warmer seasons, and a hoodie in the fall.
You also tend to be very protective of your friends, standing up for them against anyone who is causing them problems, and usually succeeding in warding off any foes. You'd gladly lose a limb if it meant saving a friend's life.
What's life without good friends and family? Limbs are overrated.
However, I've found that I generally get away with having a unpopular stance on something when trying to defend a friend. I think it's just because I use big words sometimes or because I'm fairly articulate and lack an accent.
So yeah. I'm good with Applejack.
