I've been thinking. Things haven't been going well for me on this thread. People are annoyed with me and I can barely focus on pony talk. I feel like I don't belong here because, well…….I just don't know. Every time I come here I either get angry or very depressed. Same goes with my music. No matter how hard I try I just keep failing. Maybe it's time that I just stopped trying and focus on my blog. I haven't felt bad while working on it and maybe it's what I'm mean to do. I don't know. Sorry for everything. I'm tired of all the sadness and sorrow I experience when I come here. I want to go somewhere where I'm happy and this thread doesn't seem like that place………here's some mandatory pony:

Thanks. That really helped. I think I just need to take a hiatus from music and focus on my blog. I've had way more success with it than I have with my music. Also, I will stay on the thread if you add one thing. Some bucking fluffy ponies!

There were already some omissions in responses that I didn't catch that I'm pretty embarrassed about (e.g., missing Gilda as a secondary character, not adding in fan game development for activities in the fandom,) but only the highest caliber questionnaires have surveys that cover everything in some way. That's also what the limitations section of a paper is for. (Here are all of the things we did well. Here are the parts where we f*cked up at. Give us more money so we can do more research and so I can send my kids to a nice school.) I've also gotten a several emails which I imagine will be asking about some of the same things, but it's cool. Your community should always be a part of a survey in ways that is more than just responding.

As for congratulations, none should be given until we know we have decent data. But yeah, it's nice to see my username on EqD. That'll be the only thing it's up there for though. opspe and RandomMan were in the email I sent to EqD and Calpain (thanks to him for looking through it and giving me tips,) but the copypaste only had my email in it, so they didn't show up.

Well, I happen to like the .mov series, as well as the cast of characters it brings. You don't, that's fine by me. I only have a couple issues with that pic, though:
1. They put the best cartoon show (by that, I mean out of the ones still on-air) with one of the ones that stopped being funny around 2005.
2. It was Luna that got picked for this. Celestia is the bigger troll, why not her? It just doesn't seem to fit the Princess of the Night.
Other than that, it's damn funny.

I don't know why people think I made this a strictly Derpy thread. The subtitle is irrelevant. This is just where people post and discuss ponies. I put it in the first danged post.

Oh, and just because my name happens to be the email doesn't mean opspe and Random aren't as involved. opspe can tell you that my knowledge of statistical analyses is rather basic. They were in the submission email, but my email was the only one listed to receive comments and criticism.

Well, I feel like a jackass. I had a little to much to drink and spilled the beans about My little Pony. I told my friend how I buy the toys and style the hair, about fighting is magic, and of course how I watch the show every saturday. At least he is a really good friend and he told me not to worry about it. He just teased me a little about Pegasus and Unicorns. Still, I can't help but just feel dumb.

Yes, this is the one built to be easier to code and analyze. I've separated the results from the first survey and the second, because they're now different enough to be considered different questionnaires, so if you'd like to take it again, by all means.

Speaking of monochrome/greyscale/whatever it's like black-and-white I'm a pseudo-scientist not an artist!

KP-ShadowSquirrel is the only artist that has art of that quality that varies from the FiM design significantly enough (in my opinion) without looking too weird.

But, congrats on having understanding friends. They wouldn't really be friends if they didn't understand you and disliked you for just liking something unusual.

@Verbs: It was a joke. Plus you were the only mod on at the time so…..there ya go. About .mov: I don't like how the mane six act crude and offensive. First of all, they cuss like sailors. As far as I know, there are only two psuedo-swears in the show. Second of all, he made Flutters into a serial killer. That just crosses the line for me.

It's called a parody, there's nothing wrong with taking creative liberties. If a community can't learn to make fun of itself it risks creative stagnation and self entitlement.

It's not like HotDiggityDemon is telling you this is how the characters should be or how he sees them, it's just a joke. Just there to add levity and take away some of the seriousness some people tend to build up towards what is extensively a fan club. This kind of overly critical defensive outburst is what makes Bronies such easy targets for trolls.

Just have a sense of humor about it and it's not nearly as offensive as you think it is.
