Lol, that happens when one Scout ask for a dispenser, if a lot of Scouts like in that other video needs a lot of dispensers, what happens then? My guess is just one giant dispenser comes and squashes the whole lot of them.

eloooo lets start a new disussion.

the mental/social issues on the mane characters :)

this just another great thing about this show, everyone has a realistic personality…

i tihnk Fluttershy for example has Aspergers, she is always shy and afraid to stand for herself. but that also makes her soooo cute…

i think rarity has OCD, like in the winter wrap up episode when she is trying to make a birds nest :P

anyone else we can analyze?

Pinkie pie is obviously bipolar, but i dont think that there is a medical term for "so crazy that she breaks the laws of phisics and any logic" (esquizophrenia maybe?) and a histrionic personality when she is not being Pinkamena Diane
If you want to bring some SCIENCE into the discussion…

Cluster A (odd or eccentric disorders)
Paranoid personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.0): characterized by irrational suspicions and mistrust of others.
Schizoid personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.20): lack of interest in social relationships, seeing no point in sharing time with others, anhedonia, introspection.
Schizotypal personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.22): characterized by odd behavior or thinking.
[edit]Cluster B (dramatic, emotional or erratic disorders)
Antisocial personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.7): a pervasive disregard for the law and the rights of others.
Borderline personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.83): extreme "black and white" thinking, instability in relationships, self-image, identity and behavior often leading to self-harm and impulsivity. Borderline personality disorder is diagnosed in 3 times as many females as males.[5]
Histrionic personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.50): pervasive attention-seeking behavior including inappropriately seductive behavior and shallow or exaggerated emotions.
Narcissistic personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.81): a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, and a lack of empathy.
[edit]Cluster C (anxious or fearful disorders)
Avoidant personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.82): social inhibition, feelings of inadequacy, extreme sensitivity to negative evaluation and avoidance of social interaction.
Dependent personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.6): pervasive psychological dependence on other people.
Obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (not the same as obsessive-compulsive disorder) (DSM-IV code 301.4): characterized by rigid conformity to rules, moral codes and excessive orderliness.

Thought if anypony had Aspergers it would be Twilight. She studys alot, doesn't have many friends (at least not at first), and whatever else she does. I can actually see where it can be attributed to Fluttershy, what with her being shy and quiet nearly all of the time.

Rainbow Dash definately has Narcissism, mainly with a superiority complex.

i donnu, twilight simply seems to have a 'scoial ackwardness' kind of thing i don't know how is it called but's a social problem when it's simply hard to fit in a group and the sheer lack of social skills and tact but she can make freinds when she wants…

fluttershy is definetly the one with Aspergers, she also doesn't have a lot of friends and like being with animals since you basically need no social skill what so ever to take care of animals…
also: her terrible anger managment issue is also part of her Aspergers. correct me if im wrong…

Hey, alright, an MLP game… Oooh, and it's 8 bit starring Apple Bloom! It's probably gonna be the best game ever!
Plays
…

That's okay, i didn't want to sleep tonight anyways.

So…I'm playing this, and I think I should let my friend Egon tell me what he thinks about it.

– Sorry Stantz, I'm terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought.

On the matter of pony psychology
Rainbow Dash= Narcissistic & Has Stage Fright
Applejack= Has commitment issues (meaning, she can be too committed to something)
Rarity= Perfectionist & OCD
Fluttershy= Anti-social and has low self-esteem
Pinkie Pie= Bipolar (Extreme Happiness & Severe Depression) and when she goes into depression mode, she is Schizophrenic
Twilight= Anti-social & Is overly concerned about fitting in (oh, and she has Ophidiophobia)
~~~Now it gets silly~~~~~~~~
The Great and Powerful Trixie= Greatness & Powerfulness
Scootaloo= Looking for a big sister/ mother figure
Sweetie Belle= Just Stupid
Apple Bloom= Incest Child of Big Macintosh & Applejack
Spike= is still a BABY dragon
Big Mac= Probably Suffered some sort of accident, impairing his thinking capacity (why do you think he talks so slow)
DJ Pon-3= Actually Deaf lol
Derpy= Born walleyed, abandoned by parents, got cutie mark for stupid stuff that doesn't even relate to her job, lauren faust happened, ???, PROFIT
Lyra= Human
Good point about Twilight, but I think not being able to easily fit into a group can also be related to Aspergers. But I guess Twilight leans more towards social awkwardness".
I'm pretty sure anger issues can be apart of aspergers, so yeah. Think timidness can also be involved in it.
Damn that game's creepy. Could have been longer, but it was creepily fun nonetheless.
OK new topic:
Hopes and Fears for Season 2 (and the rest of the series)
Hopes:
Visually it will be top notch
Moar Trixie
Moar Luna
Better, catchier songs
Fears:
I'm starting to worry that HUB is trying to market MLP:FIM to the adult audience, which isn't bad (my case in point) but when they start to make the show more adult oriented, we lose what the show was originally about. Then it goes from being a good kids show, liked by adults into a crappy kids show, with an adult cult following.
And that means no season 3.
I'm also worried that Season 2 won't bring in the dough, and the series will be done after 2 seasons. And I don't want to say goodbye
I'm also worried that they might do pinkamina or flutterrage again and mess the characters up more. I'm even worried that they will mess up the rest of the characters (i.e. making pinkie too random, making twilight too nerdy, making applejack too country)
Actually that was pretty fun. I didn't really get some of it but I thought the ending was cute. "Goodbye friend" Not as scary as I thought it'd be. No screamers just a bit of creepypasta.
Hopes:
Great pilot episodes
Characters like Trixie and Gilda and such are seen in more than just one episode, and not like Zecora who we seen very little of outside of Bridle Gossip.
MORE DJ P0N-3/VINYL SCRATCH
More songs, but let's not make it to the point where every episode has a musical number :/
Possible episode unrelated to main cast, spend an episode seeing the problems of Background ponies or sideline ponies in some sort of problem causing plot and is solved towards end of episode like any episode would be.
Moar Derp expressions on ponies, like how Rainbow was in Fall Weather Friends and how Applejack was through half of Applebuck season. Of course Pinkaminea Diane Pie in Party of One.
Fears:
As I said in Hopes, not a musical number EVERRRRY episode.
They won't show Vinyl again
They will somehow ruin Derpy.
They will address Derpy as Ditzy.
Becoming TOO cliche
Cutie Mark Crusaders making fools of themselves infront of the public. Again.
Too many CMC episodes.
That's all I can think in 5 minutes. But I need some sleep so I'll catch yall later.
i hope you people are happy, that game got the daily 1st award on newgrounds. yay!
now lets wait till the end of the week and see what spot it gets on the the top 10 flashes of the week
I think that's been around for a while, actually. I was just dropping into you guys' thread to let you know about this:
http://jayisgames.com/games/friendship-is-magic-story-of-the-blanks/
Haven't played it yet, but just about everything in JayIsGames is golden.
Late edit to add: Well, I played it, and while it was a good game, there was a twist about halfway through that was a bit disturbing. The last half of the game is creepier than I'd expect for a MLP game.
A wild topic change!
Take a gander at these few second videos for a moment, I assure you there will be some sort of topic… and yes… It's Fluttershy related, and I'm sure you've been looking for an excuse to watch Fluttershy.
Now I tried being in episode order with these, but I couldn't remember where some scenes was from directly.
Now lets see her in the season finale…
Now discuss how Fluttershy has changed throughout the season.
Last edited Jul 08, 2011 at 08:30AM EDT
Why? She's wonderful. I liked her from the very beginning when I first saw her on the first episode (although I admit I thought she was a he back then) and I was so happy when she went crazy on the last one. <3
@Sir Xelus
Well, just to gratify you, I'll give you my two cents.
From what I can tell, Fluttershy started off as a very meek and very shy (vids 1 & 2) character, but as the series progressed, we can see she clearly wants to be more social and to open up a bit more (vids 4, 5, & 10) and she's definitely started to build up some confidence (vids 3, 8, & 11). She tries to become louder later on in the series too (vids 6, 7, & 9) something which she was too shy to do in the first couple of episodes (vid 5).
As for the gala bit, we can see that she has built up a lot of confidence by this time. In fact she's become over-confident in regards to meeting the animals of Canterlot. To her disappointment though, the animals don't know her that well and thus hide from her. Heavily frustrated, she snaps, goes all FlutterFURY on them and wreaks havoc upon them all. At the end of the episode, she goes completely bananas and chases the animals right into the ballroom. She eventually comes back to her senses while leaving the scene of the crime.
Best. Season. Ending. Character. Development. EVER.
My only hope for her in the second season is for the developers to stick with and somehow build upon how much she's grown as a character in the show. Hopefully, they're smart enough to not retract her character back into the pilot episode version.
Many a brony have tried to post rhymes,
To be like Zecora. But she'd prob'ly smirk.
A couple of poems don't sound right at times.
Their structuring needs a little more work.
So I made up a jig to aid all newbie rhymers,
And posted it on this pic here of Zecora.
I hope that my little guide for you first-timers,
Will help you make rhymes that impress the great zebra.
Making a rhyme is easy as pie.
You just have to match a couple of sounds.
What makes a good rhyme though, is syllables. Why?
’Coz sentence flow makes a rhyme better by mounds.
Take this example in ABAB.
Syllables sounding the same, there’s no messes.
There’s more to rhymes, though, than just counting, you see.
To make a good rhyme, pay attention to stresses.
Stresses are syllables in words that you stress.
Pretty redundant, but that’s what they are.
By properly placing them in sentences,
Your rhymes will sound better, and you’ll be a star.
@Jostin Asuncion
I thank ye for actually giving your two cents. As for me, I dislike how confident Fluttershy has gotten. I actually wildly preferred her in the pilots. It is nice for her to show some confidence every now and then but snapping into her overly aggressive state such as when she uses "The Stare" in Dragonshy and in Stare Master was just really pushing it. Even though she is still fairly hesitant at times and still is scared at a mass variety of things towards the end of the series (As seen much in [Episode 21 was it?] The Bird in the Hoof) she still ended up FlutterRageing during the season finale. In which I leave this with a "This isn't what I wished for…."
In short: I have nearly the exact opposite opinion on wanting Fluttershy being confident.
@Xelus
It's a kids show, and should be approached as such. Since all of the characters have archetypes, the archetypes need to remain for those characters (i.e. next season, pinkie will still be the goofy chick that she is, even after her psychotic break on ep. 25.) The archetypes of characters in a cartoon are supposed to be different personalities of kids watching, so it's accessible to all types of kids; fluttershy is the shy one, so naturally, no matter what character development happened the past season, it's imperative important that she doesn't keep any of it, for the sake of the actual show.
my
Pretty much what Jostin said. It's interesting to see that even if we don't have story arcs in MLP, the continuity is pretty heavy. As we've seen Fluttershy starts as super shy, then, as time passes, she becomes more and more confident, through the help of her friends (Pinkie's hop skip and jump, and RD's "be more assertive" for example). So much confident, that as it has been already said, she takes the friendship of the animals in the final episode for granted, just to realize she's become TOO confident ("you're such a loudmouth") before snapping. I think that we'll see something of an aftermath in the second series, possibly she'll return quite as shy as she was in the beginning or something like this. Also, pretty much every character has had a nice development, personally I really like the way Celestia has become less and less the distant sovereign to become something of an informal prankster, striving not to be treated as a subject of adoration. From this point of view, Celestia has become my favorite 2nd tier character (by this I mean outside the Mane 6 and the no-voiceover background characters).
Heh, Dinky Island was the first thing I thought of too back when I first heard Dinky's name.
I wonder if there's an old hermit pony teaching philosophy there.
Hey pony lovers, I have a serious question.
What makes MLP so appealing to you guys? I finally decided to see what all the fuss is about and watched the first episode, and it was subpar at best. I just don't see why the show is such a big deal.
well at least you decided to check it out in the end…
first two episodes are known to be not so great, even thought the i was hooked in the first episode.
later episodes are really good.
why is is apealing? well the animation is great, the writing is great, the art style is great. it talks about serious issues in life while still keeping a proper tone for childeren. voice acting is superb and the world the entire series is set in is uniqe and interesting.
that's FiM in a nutshell. if you want more details, hop on to IMDB. it got a 9.0 which is A LOT.
This has been asked of us before,
And answers we have given by the score.
But they seem to fall upon deaf ears,
The futility brings us close to tears.
We just like this silly pony show,
For reasons we don't fully know.
Others can watch it if they want,
And if they hate it we won't taunt.
We may just be reliving our adolescence,
As it does capture animation's essence.
The first two episodes, how do I say, sucked. Their only function was to introduce the characters.
Really, you can't find out by asking. We have a multitude of different reasons, and most of us don't share the same with the others.
Personally I like how each character has a unique and defined personality.
Haha, yeaahh.. The first episode to hit my "favourite episodes" list was 6th. Also 7th was great. After that I found the eps okay until.. 14, 15 and 16. And then 19 and 20. And thenn startring from 22 all the way to the final episode of the season. <3
So yeah, later episodes are awesome.
