First episode was great. I absolutely love the brightness and vibrancy of the colors.

Josuke's new VA isn't half bad so far. Honestly I was a bit worried when we wouldn't be getting the same VA as the games. I hope the new VA for Rohan can live up to how great Rohan's game VA was.

I've always loved the crazy palettes that they've used during fight scenes, and it seems like they're going all out this season with the colors and experimentation. To be fair, the colors in the official versions of this part are really unusual anyways, but it's still great to see them bring that to the screen.

Artstyle looks great, like a slightly more polished version of the Stardust Crusaders art (I actually feel like the more simplistic and flat backgrounds so far add to it well, compared to the last series), and they're getting better and better at telling the story and really getting across the tone and mood of Jojo. Part 4 is one of my favorite arcs, maybe only beaten by 5, and this first episode is really promising, so I'm really looking forward to it.

Goddamn I am getting more annoyed than I should at all the people I've seen like "Can I just watch this part and then watch it from the beginning?"
I can give some leeway for part 3, but this is just ridiculous
It's like flipping through a book until you hit a random point, like chapter 17 and being like "Do I start here?"

It's a travesty that anyone would willingly skip Battle Tendency and best Jojo.

The new opening fits perfectly to the DiU's tone. I love it. The entire adaption so far is great.
Can't wait for the more episodes

The healing factor is making this my favorite stand so far

Hohoho…it only gets better from here
this part has some of the best stands of the whole series.
A certain one was voted the best on the jojo wiki last September or so.

Oh, it just came to me a few hours ago that the new OP isn't in CG. Maybe for the next season once the plot really gets going?

Also, I wasn't originally a fan of the art style when the first PV came out, but I really dig it now.

First episode

This dude punches a hole in a guy so he can punch a hole in another guy, heals both of them and leaves scissors in the bad guy.

Second episode

In chapter 3 when ever a possession stand takes over a body it takes them all episode to deal with them. Dan took 2 episodes. Crazy diamond did it in 10 seconds

2 episodes in and this guy is already best jojo

The episode was great and all, but was i the only one disappointed not to see Angelo try to posses the kid as a last ditch effort to escape? Cuz the beat down josuke gave him again was pretty amazing.

I honestly adore the new opening! I adore the music and the Visual representation!
It fits perfectly for Part 4 early Arc! Disco and Slice of life parts
Been discussing it with my Real life friend who is also a JoJo fan, he doesn't like the opening at all!
Not everything needs to be flashy, i didn't mind the lack of 3D visuals like the previous opening

Expect changes on the current opening with the Introduction of more Key Characters (like Rohan) and once Koichi gets his stand and stop posing awkwardly

I also except the opening to change once we get into Kira's Arc, hopping we will get Queen musical influence like his Eyes of the Heaven sountrack

Guys, Part 4 hasn't been started yet and I'm already craving for part 5,6 and 7 anime adaptations

I guess i will have to wait 10+ years

New episode was gureato. I'm digging the animation for Okuyasu's The Hand. Also, anyone notice more stuff in the ED? Feel like a bit more detail was added.

Only part way through it. Keicho sounded oddly familiar
if I had to guess it was good old Norio Wakamoto, but I don't think it was.

And upon further watching, the Okuyasu fight far surpassed my already quite high expectations
I was Kreygasm-ing at all of the amazing transitions every few minutes as well

Angelo just took over number one spot of most hated JoJo villains (previous holder of that title was Vanilla Ice)

Also me being free user pleb, I gotta wait for Okuyasu's episode.
Which is going to be hype.

Oku's already out on kissanime
had to watch it there as well

So, new episode came out:

  • Bad Company got changed to "Worse Company"
  • the animation for Bad Company is gureato
  • Koichi laid an egg (and it's got a green aura!)
  • I think there's some subtle additions to the ED like before

Overall, gureato episode.

So there's no site with subs with unaltered stand names? I thought that was just the Crunchyroll sub and other websites "borrowed" the episode.

@Samekichi I don't really mind the name changes either, as I do find them justified. If anything, I just find the name changes to be funny rather than disappointing.

What's the copyright they're avoiding with "Shining" Diamond?
It can't be the Pink Floyd song title, do they really consider that copyright infringement?

Crazy Diamond was changed to Shining Diamond, so I'm guessing that they would consider that copyright infringement. Or maybe they're just trying to play it safe, seeing as how certain musicians (ie King Crimson, Prince) tend to be quite problematic with copyright ( that's how I see it at least).

Bad Company chapter has always been my favorite non-Kira part of Diamond Is Unbreakable. Seeing it animated was awesome. They did a great job on it.

Minor thing but I like how Keicho accurately names the helicopters (AH-64 Apaches). Maybe is it because of my overblown interest of aircraft.

Also the music is great.

Really? Never see any love for Keicho. I hardly even think of him myself.
I mean, as a character I rank him above Ternosuke Miyamoto (I literally second guess myself every time I think of his name he's so forgettable). But most other stand users in morioh beat him out for me.
Except Shigechi, fuck him.

I don't know if this counts, but there was a stand bound to a Gucci bag

Anubis might count too, I'm not too sure.

I'm pretty sure the bag and anubis do not possess stands, it's a manifestation of someone's will, which of course inanimate objects can not have. Both are just stands which are part of an object, hence why they have physical form.

Might be a bit late to the party on this one, but just found out the first verse of this song rather well describes the end of part 2

just when I think I've seen the limit of how much a clever dick Araki can be with his music reference.

In case you guys missed it, here's the full version of Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town:

It's a little short, and I think the second half is kinda lacking, but I do enjoy it, especially the trumpet (or is it sax) part near the end: it reminds me the sax section of Bloody Stream.

  • Lot's of drama this episode; not too much action except for Red Hot Chili Peppers
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers is just "Chili Peppers" now
  • Otoishi seems to have the same VA from ASB and EoH
  • Echoes is "Reverb"

Honestly I kinda thought they'd cut the drama a bit and start to dive into Koichi's chapter, but despite that, still a good episode.

First off, let me say how weird it is to see a one-part episode after the last several were split into parts. It's a little strange, but based on the chapter that this episode animates, it makes sense (and I would've preferred one episode for this anyways). Now, on to the episode:

  • this episode reminds me how much I disliked Tamami
  • Koichi goin' for that Super Saiyan look and it's gureato
  • Echoes Reverb Act 1 looks incredible, and the animation when it's revealed is awesome
  • the music when Koichi starts kicking ass is amazing; I think I even heard a vignette of it two episodes ago in the Bad Company fight
  • Hazamada's Surface is now Show Off

Once again, another gureato episode.
