I got a Strange Sapper one day before the update. Like, I got it literally at the best time you could possibly imagine.

Yesterday I unboxed a Strange Bazooka, sold it for Strange Mantreads, sold the Mantreads for 4 keys because I need some currency around.

Also I will be quitting TF2 for 2 months. Hope my BP value doesn't just flop when I'm gone.

Probably going to sell it. All it drops is droppable paints, so no black, white, lime or pink. That means the drop could be worth anywhere from just over a ref to 6 ref – for an item worth 1-1.25 keys, maybe 2. Too much risk.

Sure wish I was TF2 rich. I would really like that AP-Sap and Strange PDA.

the PDA tracks sentry kills and health healed with your dispenser, ranking up with kills

The PDA also tracks teleport uses. I've been practicing engineer in lobby as well. I actually got some compliments for getting teleporters behind enemy lines, which is flattering considering how difficult engie is in Highlander against competent opponents. Add to that, I had a new friend invite today, and it was actually a UGC engie. I talked to him for a short while about that and told him I may go engie myself, and he even offered to mentor me. :3

@Eoks

There are rumors going around that it's part of a promo for a sequel to Poker Night. The other promotional items are from Sam and Max, Borderlands 2, Army of Darkness, and The Venture Brothers, so a crossover with promos doesn't sound too farfetched.

@Twilit

Definitely sell it. You could buy whatever paint you want out of it with the metal you'd make, and still make a profit.

Of course it's always some fuckass who loves to ruin people's fun by acting like an asshat.

I fucking hate these people.

Oh god, I feel so bad for this guy.

Then again, the guy was lecturing him about using a middleman, so I have less sympathy.

What…? I mean..what the hell..? They actually added promo items from reddit…
I mean, I don't hate reddit, I don't give a single fuck actually but…promotional items from a website?
2 hats that are the same, 2 antennas, the difference being that one looks broken…
This is beyond rustling…I would expect this kind of rustling from EA or Capcom, but Valve?
Oh Gabe…I hope this is the first and last promotional item coming from a non-videogame, becouse If I ever happend to see a Guy Fawkes mask with the name "Le gag 'face" I will inmediatly commit suicide…

VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Last year after the ESEA season was over, two American sixes teams, Leviathan Gaming and Classic Mixup, went to Insomnia 46, a British LAN. Insomnia (aka ixx) is one of the biggest LAN parties in the world and has a huge European TF2 tournament. Anyone can enter, but here's the thing – you need to be there (obviously, since it's a LAN party). Now the community wants to send the winner of ESEA LAN to i49 in August, but they can't have the major players foot the bill this time. So if you want to see Fully Torqued, Classic Mixup, Chess Club or bp play some of the best European teams, you can donate to the Indiegogo fundraiser here. They need $10,800 by May 30th, but we can do it! They've also got some really nifty perks should the fundraiser be a success.

Last year Leviathan Gaming and Classic Mixup ended up facing each other in the finals. Besides,
IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SEE RED-BLOODED AMERICAN TEAMS DEFEAT THOSE WIMPY EUROS
YOU ARE NOT A TRUE AMERICAN
AND ARE NOT WELCOME IN MY WORLD

Hey guys, I've realised something.
I'm sure you all know that your ragdoll is usually flung away a little bit after a death from a melee weapon, but after watching a few TF2 wiki weapon demonstrations, I noticed kills with soldier melee weapons don't seem to do that. Just watch.

There doesn't seem to be any knockback, they sort of just flop to the floor. My theory is that soldier hits his enemies in such a way that all the force is spent liquifying their insides and is then passed out into the ground through the souls of their feet. Any other theories?

I was in a PUG of all things, and this baby dropped. I'm going to decide what to do with it in the next few minutes, I'll edit with my decision/results.

Lucky.

Steam Support hasn't replied.
All I can do is sit here and see how my items get stolen and and pass around a bunch of russian accounts.
I can't even post on steamrep, since I need to login through steam.

I've noticed that as well. It doesn't seem to do that with the Equalizer, though.

I'm surprised that nobody has talked about the RoboCrate in this forum yet.

Do you guys have any ideas on what would be inside of it?

I've thought of some with my IRL friends:

-Robotic Baloonicorn
-Robot Reskins (like the Voodoo-Cursed soul things)
-Unusual versions of the Mann Up hats (i.e., the Stealth Steeler or the U-clank-a)

Grampa' Soldier explains it all.

Ok, can you add something to a bow through crafting?
And how do you get scrap metal?

Ah, a new TF2 player. Welcome!

To get scrap metal, you have to take two weapons used by the same class and smelt them.

For example, smelting the Sandvich and the Brass Beast, two different weapons for the Heavy, will create scrap metal.

You can find more information on the Official Wiki.

EDIT: Yes, you can use the Huntsman (the bow) in crafting. The Tribalman's Shiv and the Crusader's Crossbow use it in their blueprints.

Before anyone starts to flip out over the new update lke half everyone else:
It is purely satirical. The update is making fun of the TF2 community's addiction to hats. Calm your jizz.

I got me a Strange Persian Persuader (not very valuable, I know, but…) so now I'm trying to become a demo knight. I have two questions for y'all:
1. Is the Ali Baba's Wee Booties worth not having a primary weapon? and
2. Is the Chargin' Targe or the Splendid Screen better?

Even this is a satirical update, it is very disappointing. It gives a bad hint to new players. They'll be thinking every update is to do with cosmetic items, when really, all they want to do is to shoot and maim. I mean, don't get me wrong, some of the items are half decent, but this is a very weak update, considering Valve took three months to realese it when they really did no work on it at all.

Ali Baba’s Wee Booties are useful if you want to me the greatest Leeroy Jenkins of the server. Most of the times is useless becouse without your grenade launcher, the only thing keeping you alive is a melee weapon..It's suicide UNLESS you are in Degroot keep.

Chargin' Targe will keep your ass safe when facing soldiers, the resistance damage is bigger than the Slendid Screen but you can't directly send your self into the middle of battle, you have to wait until your opponent is weak/distracted and then charge.

However, the Slendid Screen short charge damage is awesome for every demoknight, just mouse 2, hit something and instantly mouse 1. You can almost take every class in a single charge, specially scouts.

I prefer going with the Chargin' Targe. Sure, the charge damage isn't that big but at last It keeps you alive. Today I collected 18 heads while using it.

I don't really play as Demoknight, I usually just play as normal Demoman.

But I realized how hard it is to kill a Chargin' Targe Demo with my flamethrower or flare gun when I play as Pyro. So, I would go with the targe.
