(Because if not for the bad business of openly mocking the customer base, I'd believe it.)

Yeah, I questioned that as well when I found this image on Tumblr, so I checked Google to see if he ever said that somewhere. Apparently this is the sauce.

Now then you can say this is a fake Facebook account, so I checked that as well. I found 2-3 and this one dominated the rest in the amount of likes. Still doesn't confirm it though.

Also, aside from the Chatot, I'm having trouble getting a Smoochum. No matter how many times I use the Dream Radar, while making sure to collect blue dream orbs, I can not seem to get one. So if anyone has a Smoochum or a female Chatot, PM me.

I could breed my Jynx for a Smoochum if you want.

Well we've got new Corocoro info now. Pretty sure most of us have seen it on the Pokemon image gallery and such. But there's one thing that really speaks to me…

Steel no longer resists Ghost and Dark.

GODDAMNIT HOW DARE THEY TRY TO NERFBALANCE MY BELOVED MASTER RACE TYPE THIS IS UNFORGIVABLE, UNACCEPTABLE, AND PROBABLY SOMETHING I WILL BE FINE WITH IN DUE TIME DUE TO FAIRIES BEING NO MATCH FOR GLORIOUS MAN-MADE METAL MONS.

Now that my fanboy rage is starting to simmer down, I have a legit issue about Steel's resistance nerf:

Ghost and Dark have always been near-interchangeable as attacking types, with the only difference being how they affect Normal and Fighting types. Ghost STAB had the advantage though, since Normal types couldn't harm them back while Dark types were mauled by Fighting types. With the reveal of Fairy type's strengths and weaknesses, Dark is getting a buff/nerf trade-off while Ghost is only getting an outright (not to mention huge) buff.
With Fairy types being Dragon (and Dark) slayers and Ghost type getting two drawback-free buffs with the trapping immunity, Ghost just might be the new best STAB type for solo coverage. Dark, meanwhile, continues to get shafted and can only take solace in the fact that its only real purpose for existing now is to be a Ghost counter (because lets face it: Psychic types are almost a complete non-issue nowadays).

On a more positive note, I'm really excited to see what the final forms of the starters will look like. My current theories/headcanons are Chespin's final evo being a ridiculously large knight like the one in Dragon's Crown, Fennekin's being the now-obligatory furbait like Gardevoir and Zoroark, and Froakie's being a pirate frog due to the thief-like hood and glove markings on his first evolution despite being partially named after a naval rank (and because privateers are essentially pirates hired by the navy).

>electric pokemon can't be paralyzed

wut

Also are you guys hoping for any mega evolutions in particular? Being that a solid poison pokemon would be great to have for countering all the fairy pokemon I'm sure I'll run into online and that weezing was always one of my favorites, I'd be pretty happy if he got a one.

>My face when they introduce a new Weezing evolution:

Seriously, I've loved Weezing since Red and Blue. I'd be fucking ecstatic if they introduced a new evolution. Not a mega evolution, but just a regular old permanent evolution.

Hell, after the fifth generation gave my body the shaft, I'd be happy if any older Pokemon got a new evolution this generation.

Eevee doesn't count, Sylveon. Go back to your corner.

@Jimmy

Don't worry about Rotom. Nobody in their right mind would use standard unchanged Rotom anyways when his formes are so much better.

Reference: I remember this one time my unaltered level 51 rotom took out a level 100 fearow with Thunder, and still have the video saved on Platinum. It's not that bad.

Oh, I'm not saying unaltered Rotom is by any means a terrible Pokemon (like Fearow… ugh…), I'm just saying that his forms are generally better. Better stats, better type combinations (Rotom-W only has one weakness), and access to form-specific moves just makes an unaltered Rotom a poor choice when compared to his forms.

An altered Rotom would have all the advantages that an unaltered Rotom brings (he'd still be able to know Thunder, for instance), without any of the drawbacks (lower BST, certain weaknesses, etc.)

Oh, you want to talk terrible Pokemon?

"Luvdisc gets the award for worst fully evolved Pokemon for three generations straight, which I guess is something." -B/W Smogon entry

AGH! KILL IT WITH THUNDER!

Don't even bring up that heresy in my presence.

On a different note, if anyone wants to swap friend codes, shoot me a PM. I only own Black 2 at the moment, but if you wanted to trade, or battle, or just be super happy fun 3DS pals, I'm game.

Yeah, but seriously…Froakie? You can do much better than that.

Mine's actually come today for some weird reason (Pokémon X if you were wondering) and so far it is great. My only gripe is that the movement is still on a set path, and can feel a bit awkward with the circle pad, but that's fixed with the inclusion of roller skated (which you get just before the first gym). I also love that you can choose your character's outfit, so that's a neat little touch. The 3D is only really used in battles as well, most of the time it's just disabled.

Also, with the EXP. Share, it appears that instead of giving the item to just one Pokémon, you just keep the item in your bag and your whole party benefit from it.

Oh, and PETA is doing this shit again

No cant read Random 21's post ugh~

I'm getting X for no other reason than the blue deer.

In fact, I just preordered a copy for a midnight release they're having here. I'm kinda excited about that.

I'm still torn about which version to get. IMO X has the better version-exclusive Pokemon, while Y has the better version-exclusive Mega Evolutions. Though that recently uploaded image in the Pokemon gallery with Mega Tyranitar and Mega Aggron seems to be implying that they're X and Y exclusive Mega Evolutions, respectively, and since I have an unhealthy love of Steel Pokemon, I'll have to go with Y if that turns out to be the case.

Heres a thing that ALL KYM user who get X must do. Name their Xerneas Verbose. Godspeed, KYM.

I was already planning on doing that until it was confirmed that Mega Aggron is Y-exclusive and the living embodiment of the Steel type. Now I need to figure out a name for that big-ass cardinal instead.

Well I just got back from an attempt to buy Y at Target. Downside is that they aren't selling X or Y until tomorrow, and even then I suddenly remembered that I had loaned out my money to my older sister so she could buy gas for her car. Upside is that since I've been mowing our own lawn and our neighbor's lawn to clean up all the falling leaves, my mom reserved both versions for her to buy tomorrow.

My body has evolved beyond the feeling of ready.

My body has evolved beyond the feeling of ready.

I know that ready.

I'm not all too thrilled about standing outside in probably kinda chilly weather with kids who are literally half my age and kinda awkward adults who take Pokémon battling far less seriously than me (because if you're not battling with Leftovers Shedinja, then you're just not srs enuff.)

Fer srs tho I dun no y more people dun use it

The bestest of leads aside, I'm really looking forward to hearing the music first in its original context. I haven't strongly about a generation's music since GSC until B/W/2 came out. But with generations 4 and 5, I heard the music beforehand, because, well, Japan already had it. And I just couldn't wait months to hear it, so I found it elsewhere.

So not only do I get to hear it not soon after those who got I early, but I get to hear it for the first time in battle.

I really hope they keep up with the unique variations of the gym theme for gyms. That was pretty neat.

I gotta say, because of the evolution sprites and the fact that we care gonna get Kanto starters, I will get a water starter for the first time ever. Froakie's final evolution just looks better. And I'll get Charmander. Idk, I've been playing pokemon with the fire starter since Red, so choosing a different starter is really big for me. I'm excited :)

So apparently the regional Pokedex for Kalos is fucking huge. As in, divided into three separate Pokedexes. Even though I'm getting both games I'm horribly torn about what Pokemon to use because there are so many that I want.
My body isn't ready.

Alright folks, tomorrow a special Pokemon X/Y 3DS will arrive in my mail alongside with Pokemon X.

My body is fucking ready, BUT, I need some friendcodes as well. Post 'em if you wanna share 'em (PM will do as well).

So… one of the new features is old pokemon getting updated cries. Pikachu's SORTA sounds like "PIKA!" and weedle and some other older ones have updated cries too… idk how to feel about this :/

To be perfectly honest with you, I feel okay.

I'll miss the old cries because nostalgia…

But…

They did feel out of place in an environment with vastly improved sound, and I've felt that way since 3rd generation.
