KYM Pokémon General

I just had a thought one generation too late… Since I finished Pokemon Black 2 in between having finished Pokemon X.

If between Zekrom, Reshiram and Kyurem, they all came from the same Pokemon… And the DNA Splicing Incident shows they can be put back together (You know, Black Kyurem, White Kyurem.)

…Then… We still don't know what it looked like all together… Some kind of Amalgam of All Three…

Is that… Ever going to be a thing? Like… Are we ever going to get a complete answer to that mystery? Or are we going to have to be content with what we know with just one little detail missing?

Considering we're in Gen 6 now, I doubt it will ever become a thing. Such a beast would probably be astronomically overpowered anyway considering Kyurem-W: I can see why Game Freak is just teasing us with the thought of the Tao Dragons becoming one entity again. Though with Mega Mewtwo's stats in mind, it's slightly possible that we'll see the original being in the future, but I still doubt it.

In X/Y news, I have now beaten the game and gotten my precious Mawilite. The Champion music was pretty disappointing after the E4 music IMO. And the ending was both unexpected and expected. Don't ask me how that works.

HOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHITHOLYSHIT

Looked down from the computer, saw this, and my heart fucking stopped.
15 boxes of fennekin hatched and i finally got a shiny!

It's even Modest too! Thank you based god!

A better question would be, how many gods didn't i give blowjobs to?

But seriously, does anyone want a fennekin? I've got, like, 342 to spare.

Well shit. I've been doing nothing but breeding Gastly all day so i can get a Modest Gengar, and then you come in and get a modest AND shiny Fennekin. ._. fml

ONE DAY

THE GENGAR SHALL RISE

Need a water pokemon badly. Would've settled with psyduck but I already got two psychic pokemon as it is. Had to be stupid and have a love for Madoka Magica. Named my eevees after Madoka and Homura. Got a sylveon and tried getting a Umbreon out of it. Have no flying pokemon and don't want the Laparas that one guy I came across gave me.

Probably end up asking RandomMan for my squirtle or charmander back. Need a pokemon that can surf or fly.

@Natures

I… Didn't get what the big deal about the modest nature was until I looked up what it does… And then thought about it…

I Just figured it out. By trying for a stat pairing aligned with its move set (a mostly Special Attack based move list), while lessening the regular attack stat, we're left with a Pokemon with both a good advantage to attack but with no real disadvantage, since the disadvantage is something that will never come up anyways.

Min Maxing really.

The fact I only just figured out what all the fuss is about merely proves I'm an idiot.

In any case, if and when that Fennekin ever evolves, can we have images of what those look like? I'd love to see if Delphox looks nice with a bit of a shine.

@First World Pokemon Problems

Have you tried just… I don't know… typing in the name of a Pokemon you DO want into the GTS? Someone is always offering something.

friend code go'n out: 2363 – 5628 – 4363

@Kurenai

Swanna can surf AND fly!

I used him in Black and he was kind of okay. You can catch his prevolved form on the route with the breeding center.

Got a Cloyster, Frogadier, and a Goomy from wonder trade. All I had to do was give away crap pokemon.

Not bad, all I got out of that was pidgeys mostly. Pidgeys are like dicks on chatroulette when it comes to wondertrade. But still though I like to think someone was excited to get that Druddigon I was tired of looking at.

Note: Whenever I'm Wonder Trading, it's usually because I had a perfect chance to catch a Lvl 58 Pokemon while Training… Because it had Sturdy.

So Yeah, there's dozens of Golems out there somewhere, and someone is kinda happy maybe?

Anyways… I'm currently Working on the Pokedex… If anyone need's anything, I'll Retrieve it for you… Or if I've already got it, I'll give you a thing. Even if it takes a bit of Egg Wrangling.

Golduck is just pure Water type though, not Water/Psychic. If he's still unacceptable I suggest something like Poliwrath, Barbaracle, or Clawitzer/Dragalge. Also you can sometimes get Old Amber by using Rock Smash in the rocks in the deepest part of Glittering Cave for an Aerodactyl for your Flying type: bonus points for being one of the few Megas capable of being used before beating the Elite 4.

Lol, my characters name is Mikasa and every pokemon has a name from AoT, except for aggron.
I called him Ira Gamagōri. I thought the name was fitting.
Ira

Anyways, you know, I've never thought much of the eveelutions. I alwalys saw shit about them online, but I never incorporated them into my team until this playthrough. Now I fucking love my jolteon.

Here's Braixen

Here's Delphox

The purple is a bit more vivid than the pictures make it look, and the grey looks almost silver.

Hmmm… My modest pokemon.

I only have one….
Talonflame Lv54
HP: 172
Atk: 108
Def: 99
Sp. Atk: 118
Sp. Def: 93
Speed: 162

Attacks:
Fly
Ember
Flame Charge
Acrobatics.

I have no idea what you guys would think of her.
Since I didn't EV train her, or do any Super training.

So one of my Skype friends bred a shiny Timid female Ralts by total accident after starting over a new file on his Y. We traded it over to my file temporarily to have the IV guy in Kiloude rate it. PERFECT SPECIAL ATTACK IVS.
Jealousy is an ugly, ugly feeling, but I just can't help it in a situation like this. ;A;

Speaking of shinies, I forgot to mention I got myself a shiny drifloon the first day I had x.

The pics I took are all shit so here's his black and white shiny sprite for reference.

I was pretty happy about it because it's a pretty nice shiny and much better than the lame shinies I tend to get. Now that I got the poke'radar I may try to chain myself a shiny golett sometime.

Well after having tried out the Friend Safari, I can now vouch that it is amazing and we all need to swap Friend Codes in here, if only to give each other a better variety of Pokemon for it. For those that have no clue what I'm talking about, Friend Safari is a post-game Safari Zone reliant on your Friends List. Depending on your Friend Code, the type of Pokemon that can be found in your Safari and which three Pokemon exactly can be found in it are dependent on your Friend Code, so everyone that has your Friend Code have the exact same Pokemon available to them when visiting your Safari. The Pokemon in the Friend Safari all have at least 2 perfect IVs, and can sometimes have their Hidden Ability. Unfortunately, you cannot enter your own Safari, only those of your friends.

My code is 4554-0717-5158. I am told that my Safari is Steel type (fuq yeh) with Mawile, Skarmory, and Bronzong.

And Calkarot, is catching a wild Modest Haunter acceptable? Or does it have to be Gastly? Breeding aint my thing but I can be patient with normal catching.

I got a zoura from wonder trade and its fucking nick named it Fruit Cake. How am I suppose to take this thing seriously?

Alright, after pouring my heart and soul into the game for about a week, I have a few things to say about the story (might contain a few spoilers if you'd call them that). I've seen a lot of complaints from people about the story, and a lot of that comes from the fact that the identity of the big bad is about as subtle as a punch in the face (A man in dark clothing with crazy bright red hair who owns a café that's popular with team Flare? Seems legit to me). But I feel it's a tad harsh to write it off just for that, because otherwise, Lysandre is one of the best villains in Pokémon yet. A lot of this comes from the fact that his goal, while morally wrong, is understandable. Here's a guy who tried everything, pouring in most of his finances, in order to raise awareness and help prevent the dangers of the future. The only reason he went to such extremes is because no one would listen to him, and didn't seem to care about such threats.
The only complaints I do have with the story comes from Team Flare's admins and scientists, who felt were too underplayed, unlike say Team Galactic or Team Plasma, and didn't feel like major threats. They felt like just regular members in fancy clothing (with the music to boot). My other complaint lies with AZ, who I felt, while he had potential, fell short of being what could have been a great part of the plot. Otherwise, everything was fantastic (even if Trevor and Tierno were never there. And seriously, WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH MR BONDING. Why is there so much in this game that makes me feel dirty?.

@Random: One thing I liked about Team Flare is that their plans stayed relatively low-key prior to to climax: they only targeted places low on staff, and to the public they only seemed like stuck-up fashion-obsessed bullies.

@Silver: Nope. Trading is still the only way to give Pokemon to someone.

Anyone have a Steelix? Or wanting to trade onixs with steel coat? :D

There's actually an NPC in the Cyllage City Pokemon Center that will give you a Steelix in exchange for Luvdisc. Just use the Old Rod on the shore to get one.

Returning to the Lumiose save glitch again, Game Freak has acknowledged the problem and confirmed that they are working on it. Meanwhile, they have released a map detailing where to avoid saving in the city.

Do NOT save in the blue areas on this map.

It's basically just the outside ring and two alleys.

Also remember, that saving inside buildings is perfectly fine, just not in the streets.

I'm sure everyone has definitely noticed how creepy Mr. Bonding is…

But

It goes beyond that.

Has anyone ever noticed that he sometimes shows up in Pokemon Centers instead of hotels?

And has anyone noticed that when he does show up at Pokemon Centers, he's always standing in a corner and facing the wall…

I ask why? What is he up to…?

I can currently breed Chespin, Fennekin and Charmander (oh, and Eevee). The offer is appreciated but I'm making a similar one for these.

Oh yeah, any Y trainer wanna back and forth trade your Yveltal for my Xerneas? It's only for the Pokedex entry.

So apparently if you continuously fish and flee the battle in the same spot over and over again, you have a higher chance of encountering a shiny, kind of like the Pokeradar. It's recommended to put the bobber near a wall and have an Octillery with Suction Cups. But don't take my word for it, i got all this info from /vp/.
I also learned you can fish underleveled Dragalge from Route 8. (Super Rod)

Here's something a little more in depth.

GUYS ITS NOT BULLSHIT I LITERALLY GOT THIS GUY FIVE FISH IN GO DO THIS RIGHT NOW.

It works! Caught myself a shiny Shellder after about four casts.

I tried my hand at fishing Magikarp using the chaining method on Route 3. About fifty casts and no luck, and there are no locations like /vp/ described there.

Went to the small sandy spot depicted in the bottom right hand picture of Doshan's guide, caught my Shellder relatively quickly.

Chaining can apparently be done anywhere, but specific locations do seem to impact the odds.

Let me tell you: Sticky Hold or Suction Cups is a life saver.

When I first started, I opted not to worry about Sticky Hold or Suction Cups. Unfortunately, my streak kept breaking with the lack of bites.

I went back to a Pokemon Center, grabbed a Gulpin with Sticky Hold I had laying about, and my streak hasn't broken from no fish biting ever since.

No problem, I've been helping out some other people with getting various Pokemon recently, so I figured one more on the list wouldn't hurt~
So I tried my hand at chain fishing. After about 30-40 minutes and two chains I got a shiny Staryu and a shiny Clauncher within 10 minutes of each other. Somehow both of them are Relaxed nature. Which is kind of the opposite of how I feel right now.

Well… Just got myself a new 3DS (Yeah, a second one, but its the XL one, so its bigger thanthe one I had… I had a few Games lying around I'd finished.) And I've ordered up a Copy of Pokemon Y… Which will probably be in by Tomorrow.

As such… I'm Probably going to be spending some time powering through to get the Version Exclusive stuff for myself… But after that I'll probably figure something out… Like… I don't know… picking up a few spare Legendaries in case of emergency.

… The Reason I say all this is Because that means one way or another I have a new set of Friend Codes… Peachy.
