The meme started as a result of another meme that began with Mike Matei from AVGN (Angry Video Game Nerd). Many YouTube commenters were making comments on the AVGN channel, stating that Mike had a huge penis. The source of this rumor came from several work safe pictures of him that seemed to indicate that shrouded underneath his pants, it appeared as if there was a rather large member. If it is really his phallic organ, or just a result of the way his pants were, is unknown.

Mike had directly commented to user James Brophy that it was specifically 10.2 inches. He had deleted this comment on YouTube quickly, fearing a fire storm of comments. This had however been recorded in James Brophy's e-mail address and it became ingrained in his mind. There was something very catchy and memetic about the phrase, and like Prometheus with stolen fire from heaven, he decided to take the meme to Styxhexenhammer666's YouTube comment section.

For months James Brophy repeated posted the phrase daily, knowing that Styx had a secret to his power and fame. Blessed by the Egyptian God, Kek, who bestowed upon him a large obelisk, he shot to YouTube fame quickly. James knew that he had selected his target well, and insisted upon on advising the world of the Sacred Phallic Cult that Styxhexenhammer666 was secretly engaged in.

Months later, the meme had really taken hold and became quite popular among his regular commenters, where to date it scores hundreds of upthumbs regularly. However few know that the direct source of this meme is actually Mike Matei himself, and none other than he.
