About
2X Pimpy 3X Bape, also known as Pimpy Son Opp, refers to a catchphrase that originates from XL Bully Graphics made by American dog breeders. In 2022, the Instagram page @m1ndsetbullies posted a graphic advertising their new dog "Dough Boy," bred twice from a dog named Pimpy and three times from a dog named Bape. The poster advertising the inbred dog was shared on X in 2022, with jokes about "Two times Pimpy, three times Bape" making the rounds in early 2024.
Origin
On March 22nd, 2022, the Instagram[1] page @m1ndsetbullies (then named @mindset_exoticz) posted a graphic advertising their XL bully "Doughboy," gathering over 1,000 likes in two years (seen below).
On March 30th, 2022, X / Twitter[2] user @sorkincel reposted the graphic, writing, "to be clear this means it's inbred twice with a dog named pimpy and 3 times with a dog named bape," gathering over 15,000 likes in two years (seen below, left). In a reply to the post, the user also posted a chart showing the dog's "family tree" (seen below, right).
Spread
On September 24th, 2023, X[3] user @irishloubega posted a series of posters featuring XL Bully Graphics, asking, "obsessed with xl bully graphics on instagram. don't think there's been another breed of dog that people do this for is there?" The post gathered over 1,000 likes in six months (seen below).
On February 24th, 2024, X[4] user @violentlyepic reposted an image posted by an XL Bully[5] breeder who wrote, "PIMPY son OPP produced by my folks @the_bully_kingz Chris in Australia 🇦🇺 & owned by Brad @goldcountrybullycamp530 looking 👀 like the next big Stud off of PIMPY to set the 🌎 on 🔥 📸 @westcoastphotograph" (seen below).
On March 3rd, 2024, X[6] user @SoundOriented posted a Fiber Optic Cable Core video about the "x2 Pimpy x3 Bape" poster and about "Pimpy son Opp," gathering over 2,000 likes in two weeks. On March 24th, the video was reposted to /r/shitposting[7] where it gathered over 4,000 likes in a day.
