6ix9ine's Gay Porno and 6ix9ine's Boyfriend, also known as 6ix9ine's Gay Sex Tape, refers to a viral rumor about rapper 6ix9ine being gay and having a boyfriend who he posted a picture with in May 2023 in which he's kissing him on the cheek. The photo was posted by Spanish-speaking artist Eduin Caz (@eduincaz) on Instagram weeks prior to the memes. Soon after, a gay sex tape of a man having anal intercourse surfaced on Twitter as users alleged that it was 6ix9ine in a downward position. However, the purported evidence was proven to be misinformation, eventually being labeled a hoax by fact-checkers. The pornographic film in question showed pornstar Apache Blu who had similar long, rainbow-colored hair.

Origin

On May 5th, 2023, Instagram^[1] user and Spanish-speaking musician Eduin Caz posted a photo of 6ix9ine kissing him on the cheek (shown below, left), referencing 6ix9ine as his "carnal" in the caption, which directly translates to "fleshy" in English, however, it's often used as a way of saying "blood brother" in Spanish.^[2] Over the course of 13 days, the post gained roughly 461,100 likes. On May 16th, Twitter^[3] user @D1CKBICYCLE then tweeted the photo, captioning it, "wait- 6ix9ine came out and has a boyfriend now?" gaining roughly 7,800 likes in less than a day (shown below, right). The tweet effectively started the rumor and later memes.

In addition to @D1CKBICYCLE's tweet, 10 hours later on May 16th, Twitter^[8] user @islandthembo tweeted, "Why did I just see a video of 6ix9ine getting his back blown out on my tl…" gaining roughly 10,100 likes in less than a day (shown below). The video in question was a pornographic video made by Raworeo and Apache Blu that was uploaded to multiple websites like Spankbang and XVideos, among others. Pornstar Apache Blu had long, rainbow-colored hair similar to 6ix9ine's, resulting in the comparison. Within the Hidden Replies of @islandthembo's tweet, various users shared the explicit link.

Spread

Going into May 16th, 2023, more Twitter users started to spread the rumor, such as Twitter^[4] user @60404 who tweeted, "6ix9ine got a boyfriend now??? I knew that rainbow hair wasn’t for show 😭," gaining roughly 14,800 likes in two hours (shown below, left). Soon after on May 16th, Twitter^[5] user @WeLoveYouZahir tweeted the 2,000-Yard Stare image with, "I JUST SAW THE 6IX9INE GAY PORNO," gaining roughly 89,800 likes in less than a day (shown below, right).

Continuing into the next day, various Twitter users started spreading the rumor of a gay sex tape featuring 6ix9ine. For instance, on May 16th, Twitter^[6] user @imichaelbx tweeted a video from The White Lotus and a caption reading, "video of 6ix9ine on my tl getting his cheeks clapped…" gaining roughly 157,100 views in less than a day (shown below).

Later on May 16th, Twitter's moderation team added a fact-check to the bottom of @D1CKBICYCLE's tweet that linked to an article by Opoyi^[7] called, "Is Tekashi69 gay? Photo of 6ix9ine kissing alleged ‘boyfriend’ goes viral on Twitter." Opoyi gave evidence of the image's Instagram^[1] origin.
