About

A Celebration Of Life Obituary refers to an exploitable image and video of an obituary artwork titled "A Celebration Of Life," accompanied by Mariah Carey's song "Bye Bye" and often contains various humorous images superimposed over the original photograph. The meme went viral in February 2019 on Twitter / X, becoming a popular Stan Twitter reaction video.

Origin

The "A Celebration Of Life Obituary" image is based on a stock image template titled "Spring Design Funeral," which has been available online since 2016 (shown below, left).[1] One of the earliest uses of the template in a meme, however, was posted on X[2] by user @modelboyjd on February 26th, 2017, who photoshopped a picture of rapper Nicki Minaj paired with a caption pretending the singer had died. The post (shown below, right) amassed more than 368 likes and 214 retweets in seven years.

Life Is But A Stopping Place A Poem can go in this area if desired. Life is but a stopping place. A pause in what's to be, A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, Different paths along the way. We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay...
