About
Aftab Poonawala Fridge Posting, also spelled Aftab Poonawala Fridgeposting, refers to a Facebook page and series of memes discussing the murder of Shraddha Walkar by her live-in partner, Aftab Poonawala, in New Delhi, India in mid-November 2022. The fridgeposting memes typically revolve around Aftab's supposed proclivity towards fridges, since his victim was found in several pieces in his fridge following the discovery of the crime. Discussions around the Facebook group and other memes being shared about the incident, alongside the viral hashtag "#MeraAbdulAlagHai" (translated to "My Abdul Is Different"), revolve around the perceived insensitive or Islamaphobic nature of making memes about a recent murder.
