Alaskan Snow Dragon, also written Alaskan Snowdragon, is an explicit slang term on Urban Dictionary. The meaning of Alaskan Snow Dragon is when a person is performing oral sex and the man says something shocking just before ejaculation, causing the semen to spray out of the person's nose. The definition of Alaskan Snow Dragon became a Don't Google trend on TikTok in the early 2020s, inspiring many Record Yourself Before and After Looking Up X videos, among other types of reaction videos to shock media.

Origin

The first definition for Alaskan Snow Dragon was added to Urban Dictionary^[1] on September 9th, 2003, by user Michael Morgan, however, his definition has since been deleted from the website. A screenshot of it was posted by the Twitter^[2] account @everyurbanword in September 2014. According to the definition, the term's meaning is when a man is receiving oral sex and just before ejaculation, he tells the woman that he has an STD, shocking her and causing her to blow his semen out of her nose. Via the screenshot, the definition gained over 920 likes before its deletion (shown below).

On March 16th, 2005, Urban Dictionary^[1] user Sergent D added the first, still-accessible definition to the website, humorously criticizing the term by writing, "another 'odd sexual act' made up by a virgin." User Sergent D additionally wrote, "Everybody on fark will be impressed," in reference to the website Fark, a potential origin of the term's original usage.

On April 20th, 2008, Urban Dictionary^[1] user i a n g added a new definition that was similar to the original from user Michael Morgan, gaining over 230 likes in 15 years (shown below).

Memes and references to the Alaskan Snow Dragon started to surface predominantly in the 2020s. For instance, various non-viral tweets^[3][4] about the definition surfaced in 2019. Semi-viral memes surfaced on Reddit in 2020, such as a post from Redditor pulpheroe to /r/awfuleverything^[5] on February 9th, 2020, that received over 80 upvotes in three years (shown below).

The definition became widely mainstream on TikTok in the 2020s. For instance, an early, viral example was uploaded by TikToker^[6] @tr1pofficial on December 15th, 2020, gaining roughly 2.2 million plays and 365,300 likes in three years (shown below, left). On July 22nd, 2021, TikToker^[7] @a.mendoza21 uploaded a similar video about the definition, gaining roughly 816,400 plays and 10,600 likes in two years (shown below, right).

Viral videos about the definition notably persisted on TikTok^[8] going into 2023.
