Alex Karp Wielding a Sword refers to a viral video of Palantir CEO Alex Karp holding a sword and thrusting it forward in a stabbing motion from his November 2025 interview with podcaster and writer Molly O'Shea. The clip was a behind-the-scenes blooper that O'Shea posted on Twitter / X. Karp's sword video sparked viral memes, posts and discourse as it spread online. Some believed that Karp's sword was based, while others believed that he was being nerdy or cringe.

Origin

On November 11th, 2025, Sourcery podcaster Molly O'Shea uploaded a roughly 40-minute interview video with Palantir CEO Alex Karp to both YouTube[1] and X,[2] where it received over 40,400 views and 1.8 million views, respectively, over one day.

Later on November 11th, O'Shea quote-tweeted the video on her X[3] account @MollySOShea, attaching a behind-the-scenes clip of Karp wielding a sword, captioned, "Have you seen Alex Karp's sword?" Karp is seen stabbing it in a forward thrusting motion while O'Shea watches. The clip was briefly included in the interview's intro. In a day, the video received over 2.4 million views and 2,700 likes.

On November 11th, 2025, X[4] user @HighyieldHarry quote-tweeted the video of Alex Karp stabbing a sword, captioning it, "Michael Burry, you seeing this Bro?" referring to the American investor and hedge fund manager, who that week revealed a $912 million wager against Palantir.[5] The post gained over 2,400 likes in a day.
