AMDREEI is a low resolution video of a dancing lizard or Alien, playing an exaggerated song in the background.
The video is very similar to the recent Dame Tu Cosita Challange, which AMDREEI appeared on YouTube way back before the challange.
The phrase "AMDREEI" is to be thought from the Portuguese-Brazilian language, which is false.

Origin

The video was first uploaded by YouTube user Parysk on December 6, 2016. It was reposted from an Brazilian Meme Facebook page which got unfortunately deleted. The post (shown below) is the original video reposted by YouTube user Parysk.

Precursor

AMDREEI is based off from another animation by Nicholas Fedorov , an artist who is known for extremely frightening animated videos.
According to the description of the video, his friend was showing at some time, an video of an Brazilian dance video (Unknown) with an awkwardly song playing in the background. This made him an idea to create an video based off the dance.

The original video was deleted along with his channel, that he deleted after an backlash of other YouTube user's opinion and sudden widespread of relevancy. The Reupload is shown below.

The un-edited video is a animation by an animator called Jax (whose telephone number is also shown), which has supposedly appeared on web pre-2010. Neither the original and origin of this animation is detailed and known. Reupload is shown below.

Spread

The video had sudden relevancy among the Brazilian meme community and osu! coummunity.
AMDREEI became Parysk's Most Viewed video of his channel. Although the original creator of this edit is unknown.

Several users began to "worship" the underrated meme as a cult. The meme got its own subreddit (/r/AMDREEI), Discord server (deleted) and Twitter page (@amdreei).
Even it's quite low popular presence, the meme spread quick among users through the underground.
Several users made edits and parody's about AMDREEI (shown below).

Original Song

The song used in the video is called ZinZin Telele by Prince Koloni, sung in Swahili. It was overriden by the original Dame Tu Cosita song, which is a Remix of a song by artist El Chombo. The music video is shown below.
