Anonymous Letter to Sammi is a copypasta meme featuring an "anonymous" note written by Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWOWW" Farley to Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola on an episode of the reality television series Jersey Shore. The full text reads:

Sam,

The first night at bed when you left, Ron made out with 2 girls and put his head between a waitress's breasts. Also was grinding with multiple fat women.

When you left crying at klutch, Ron was holding hands and dancing with a female and took down her number.

Multiple people in the house know, therefore you should know the truth.

Origin

On August 19th, 2010, the episode of Jersey Shore entitled "Breaking Up" aired in the United States. In the episode, Snooki and JWOWW write a letter to their housemate Sammi about her boyfriend Ron's infidelities (clip below).^[1]

Spread

The following day, Twitter ^[2] user @LordPancreas posted the first part of the note on the website. It is the earliest known usage of the copypasta (shown below).

Over the next decade, the letter grew in popularity online. For example, on December 13th, 2016, Instagram ^[4] @frigidartbitch shared a screenshot of the letter. The post received more than 755 likes in less than four years (shown below, left).

On November 6th, 2017, Twitter^[3] user @spiritbor3d shared an image of Snooki writing the letter with the caption "good morning to nobody except snooki writing this letter to sammi about ronnie cheating." The post received more than 25,000 likes and 9,900 retweets in less than three years (shown below, center).

Two years later, Redditor ^[5] B_W_Jones shared a variation of the note about cats. The post received more than 625 points (98% upvoted) in less than one year (shown below, right).
