The Beedrill String Shot GIF or Beedrill GIF is an animation of the Pokémon Beedrill using the attack String Shot, causing a string of silk to shoot from its stinger, which originated from the Nintendo 64 video game Pokémon Stadium. The animation went viral on X / Twitter in December 2025 as the subject of fan art, memes and reactions, with many finding the GIF funny as it resembles Beedrill ejaculating.

Origin

On December 18th, 2025, X / Twitter users @mosuyanagi and @Calberate got into an argument about the Alpine Alexa skin in Fortnite. At one point, @Calberate posted, "All of that because you argue over dumb shit. I answered your question and you had the audacity to argue when blatantly wrong."

In response, X^[1] user @mosuyanagi quoted the post with a GIF of the Pokemon Beedrill from Pokémon Stadium using string shot, causing a long strand of silk to shoot from its stinger. The post gained over 26,000 likes and 1,600 reposts in four days.

Spread

The Beedrill meme and GIF continued to spread on X / Twitter over the following days, inspiring memes, reactions and artwork.

On December 21st, 2025, X^[2] user @AustinArts4 posted a piece of art depicting Beedrill in the middle of using string shot, garnering over 78,000 likes in a day.

Later that day, X^[3] user @Murdoink posted a mashup of the Jester and Queen GIF and the Beedrill GIF, writing, "this week in gifs," garnering over 5,100 likes in a day.

On December 22nd, X^[4] user @TheReelDetro posted a reanimation of the GIF depicting Beedrill using the same move in a cel-shaded style, writing, "Something's up with my beedrill gif… :\" garnering over 6,600 likes in under a day.

Later that day, X^[5] user @TheYisusOne posted, "So people are starting to realize what an animation goldmine the Pokemon Stadium games are huh. That Beedrill gif? Not even its most unhinged animation btw," garnering over 6,000 likes in under a day.

Later on December 22nd, 2025, X^[6] user @RoeRichard33476 posted artwork of Beedrill lying slumped over in an office chair, exhausted, silk all over the room, captioned, "Give a girl a break," garnering over 2,300 likes in under a day.
