About
Jester Dancing for Queen GIF is a meme and GIF of a 3D-animated court jester (or joker) dancing in front of a queen as she watches with a bored expression. The GIF was made by Animation Factory, notable for its 3D clipart, and spread online throughout the 2010s. In 2025, the GIF was popularized on sites like X / Twitter and Instagram as a reaction image, image macro and GIF caption meme format, often attached to captions about the embarrassing feeling of trying to impress or reach out to someone.
Origin
The 3D clipart of the jester dancing for the queen was created by Animation Factory[1] and is available for license on their website, along with several other animations featuring the same queen. It is unclear when the animation was first released by Animation Factory, but it may have been included in one of their Essential Collection CDs, the first of which was released in 2001.[2]
Notably, the company is also responsible for creating the Dat Boi Frog and the Polar Bear GIF.
