Bi-Curious Buizel is an Advice Animal format depicting the Pokemon Buizel over an orange-and-blue background captioned with jokes that paint the Pokemon as bi-curious. The format likely originated on 4chan's Pokemon board in 2011, although the earliest available version was posted to DeviantArt in January of that year and added to Meme Generator in July.

Origin

On August 3rd, 2010, FanFiction^[5] writer Rocket Admin Morri posted a fanfiction titled "Bicurious Buizel" about a bisexual encounter between a Buizel and its trainer, gaining over 60 favorites and 25 reviews in 11 years. This is the earliest online content about buizel being bi-curious. The bi-curious buizel meme appears to have started on 4chan's Pokemon board in 2011, as suggested by a now-deleted tweet^[3] by @surlyujest (shown below, left) which was posted to /r/furry_irl.^[2] However, the earliest available upload of a meme following the format was posted to Deviant Art^[1] on January 7th, 2011 by user Lucario375, who posted an advice animal meme showing the Pokemon Buizel's head over a blue and orange background captioned "Why do I stare at the other guys in the locker rooms? No reason," suggesting Buizel is bi-sexual and that's the reason, gaining over 1,000 views in 10 years (shown below, right). The official origin is unknown.

On June 14th, 2011, a Funny Junk^[7] user posted a long image collecting various bi-curious buizel memes from an unknown source (shown here, click to expand).

On July 12th, a Meme Generator^[4] user added an advice animal template to the site showing the Pokemon Buizel's head over a blue and orange background, titled "Bicurious Buizel." Numerous variations of the meme have been created using and posted to the site since (examples shown below). On April 25th, 2013, Fur Affinity^[6] user the_purple_wolf_guy posted a version of the meme to the site's forum.
