Blackstone NYC Shooting 33rd Floor Conspiracy Theory, also known as 2025 Midtown Manhattan Office Tower Shooting Number 33 Conspiracies, refers to various conspiracy theories surrounding a mass shooting event in New York City on July 28th, 2025, when a gunman named Shane Devon Tamura entered a Midtown office building and killed four people before shooting himself on the 33rd floor. While official reports say that the shooter mistakenly travelled to the 33rd floor while looking for the NFL offices, sceptical internet users described the incident as a psyop or a false flag operation due to the "codes" supposedly embedded in the event. Several internet users also began sharing posts linking the number "33" to antisemitic New World Order conspiracies, Illuminati and Judeo-Masonic conspiracy theories.

The number 33 often appears in conspiracy theories due to its prominence in Freemasonry, where the 33rd degree is the highest honorary level in the Scottish Rite. New World Order conspiracy theorists have come to interpret the number 33 as a symbol of hidden elite power. The number 33 has also come to be used in Judeo-Masonic^[1] conspiracy theories, which falsely claim Jewish elites secretly control global systems through Masonic networks.

According to Reuters,^[2] on July 28, 2025, 27‑year‑old Shane Devon Tamura opened fire with an AR-15-style rifle in the lobby of 345 Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, where he killed four people, including an off‑duty NYPD officer, Didarul Islam, and Blackstone executive Wesley LePatner.

According to AP News,^[3] the shooter took an elevator to the 33rd floor, mistakenly believing it led to the NFL offices. There, in the offices of Rudin Management, he fatally shot another person before turning the gun on himself.

Internet users, particularly on X / Twitter, began sharing posts about how the shooter traveled to the 33rd floor before ending his own life, linking it to antisemitic conspiracy theories.

Also on July 28th, 2025, X^[8] user @HustleBitch_ posted an image of the Blackstone shooter, a photo of Blackstone employees barricading themselves, and a Freemason patch with the letters "33" on it, writing, "He didn’t just shoot himself. He did it on the 33rd floor of the Blackstone building. CONNECT. THE. DOTS." The post gathered over 20,000 likes in a day.

Between July 28th and 29th, numerous posts and discussion threads on Reddit's /r/conspiracy^[9][10] subreddit discussed the incident, similarly linking it to the number 33, with some also theorizing that the NFL office was not the target and it was instead Blackstone.^[11]
