Boba Fett is an immensely popular character from the sci-fi movie series Star Wars. Despite his limited appearance in the original three films, he has become a cultural icon, and is often named among the most popular characters from the Star Wars franchise.
Origin
Originally appearing in a deleted scene in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope[1], Fett did not make his first official debut until the 1978 animated/live-action special titled The Star Wars Holiday Special[2]. He later appeared in both The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. He has since appeared in numerous Expanded Universe[3] works within the Star Wars universe.

Boba Fett has an immense following online, typically stemming from greater Star Wars fandom. On DeviantArt the character has a total of over 20,000 image results[4]. On Tumblr there are numerous posts tagged "Boba Fett"[5][6], as well as numerous Tumblr blogs dedicated to the character[7][8][9][10].
