Boobs, Titties Even, Honkers If You Feel So Inclined refers to a series of memes based on the X, Y Even, Z If You Feel Inclined snowclone and its derivatives. The memes featured multiple synonyms of a single word being named, separated by polite remarks such as as "if you will," "if you feel so inclined" etc. Spawned on Reddit in September 2020, the meme gained popularity with Demotivational Conversations memes featuring Polite Seal.
Origin
On September 10th, 2020, Redditor[1] IAmADriggin posted a distorted photograph of a white cat captioned "penis. cock even." The post received over 27,600 upvotes in /r/okbuddyretard subreddit in two months (shown below). The post was widely circulated in the following days; for example, a September 10th, 2020, repost by Facebook[2] page Memes With An Overall Lack Of Context gained over 1,100 reactions and 450 shares. A September 14th, 2020, repost by Instagram[3] user septic_meme received over 3,100 likes in two months.
On September 20th, 2020, Redditor[4] G0415 posted the first derivative meme based on the snowclone, using an image of Polite Seal (post shown below, left). The post received over 2,100 upvotes in /r/okbuddyretard subreddit prior to being removed. On the same day, Redditor[5] BlondeSpag posted a Demotivational Poster meme that received over 100 upvotes prior to being removed (shown below, right).
Spread
In late September 2020, BlondeSpag's post was circulated online, including reposts by Facebook[6][7] pages I love sweaty anime girls and Niche Gamer. The format did not see further spread until on October 6th, an unknown user posted[8] a Demotivational Conversation meme by adding caption "honkers, if you feel so inclined" to the meme (shown below). A same-day repost by Instagram[8] user caveira.is.cute received over 1,400 likes in one month.
The viral spread of the meme prompted the launch of Demotivational Conversation chain in /r/okbuddyretard subreddit, with multiple users posting versions of the meme with new captions added (examples shown below). For example, on October 8th, 2020, Redditor[9] kimmy_head posted a meme that received over 5,700 upvotes prior to being removed (shown below, left).
The format inspired more viral variations on Instagram, Reddit and Facebook in the following weeks.
