About

The Brazilian Luffy Dance refers to an animation of a Brazilian Luffy D. Monkey, from the anime and manga One Piece, dancing on the Rio de Janeiro staircase, the Escadaria Selarón, or Lapa Steps. Brazilian Luffy is seen picking his nose and then dancing by lifting up his shirt, showing his belly and thrusting his hips forward. The dance's song is "Forte Forte de Lacoste: Pra Começar o Final de Semana" by DJ Jeeh FDC, MC LCKaiique and MC Celo BK, featuring DJ Arana and DJ Menezes. The Brazilian Luffy Dance animation was created by animator Guto Kenji, who shared it to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube in July 2023. The Brazilian Luffy Dance resurfaced in mid-2025, inspiring several animation memes and a dance trend on TikTok.
