Brown Kayak is a slang term used on TikTok to refer to the act of anal intercourse in a way that tries to circumvent TikTok's language barriers and filters (also known as Algospeak). The phrase was popularized by the OnlyFans creator Jenflix01 in a series of TikToks in early 2023 where she talks about her "pink canoe" (slang for "vagina") and "brown kayak" (slang for "anus").

Origin

On January 5th, 2023, the TikTok account PinkCanoeCeo,^[1] belonging to the OnlyFans creator JenFlix01, uploaded a TikTok in which they reveal the "correct" order in which to "canoe," claiming that it's better to go from "brown kayak" to "pink canoe" within the same trip to avoid "breaking the pink canoe" (alluding to intercourse when switching between vaginal and anal sex). The video, which is the earliest known use of the slang term, earned over 1 million views in one month for the opposite order of "proper canoe adventuring" (shown below).

On February 1st, 2023, the TikTok account canoeclubgirl,^[2] an alternate account created by Jenflix01, uploaded a TikTok in which she talks about enjoying having her "brown kayak out," before she jumps on a bed and assumes a position, earning over 548,000 views and 19,000 likes in six days (shown below).

On February 7th, the ClubCanoeGirl TikTok account then posted another TikTok^[3] talking about going from the pink canoe to the brown kayak within the same "canoeing trip," resulting in her receiving over 500 likes and 20,000 views in two hours (shown below).

Between February 6th and 7th, 2023, the slang term "brown kayak" then spread on TikTok, seemingly confusing users who watched the videos from Jenflix01, resulting in a surge of searches attempting to identify the meaning behind the code words.^[4]
