Butt Slam, also known as Butt Drop, is an image macro series featuring a screen capture taken of a large woman in mid-air about to drop on top of a blindfolded man laying on the ground beneath her. The images typically feature object labels identifying the woman and man with various humorous captions.

Origin

On April 10th, 2018, Twitter user @BasedMonitored^[7] tweeted the screen capture captioned with the labels "Islam" and "Europe" along with a series of years (shown below).

Spread

On April 14th, Redditor Synapse59 posted the image labeling the woman as "Missile Strike" and the man as "Syria" (shown below). Within one week, the post garnered more than 990 points (96% upvoted) on /r/ImGoingToHellForThis.^[4]

On April 15th, Redditor That_One_Wolf submitted a Dark Souls-themed photoshop of the image to /r/TwoBestFriendsPlay.^[6] On April 16th, Redditor pvtgoombah submitted a version depicting "WW3" dropping on to "males over the age of 18" (shown below, left). That day, Ebaum's World^[3] included the image in a collection titled "Save AF Monday Memes." On April 17th, Redditor sayy_umm posted an Overwatch-themed variation of the meme referencing the character Doomfist (shown below). Within 72 hours, the post gained over 820 points (97% upvoted) on /r/Overwatch_Memes.^[2]

On April 20th, an anonymous 4chan user submitted the screenshot in a post asking "What is this type of porn called?," to which another user replied that it was "Ssbbw squashing" and that the model's name was Monique (shown below).^[1] That day, a screenshot of the post reached the front page of /r/4chan.^[5]
