Call This Buffalo Wild Wings and Ask For Beans is a series of memes and posts asking people to prank call a specific Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in San Jose, California and ask for beans, which are not sold by Buffalo Wild Wings. The post was originally made by Facebook user Raven Jones in February 2021 and garnered viral spread over the following years as it was reposted to sites including Reddit, X and Instagram throughout the early 2020s.

Origin

On February 12th, 2021, Facebook^[1] user Raven Jones made a post sharing the public phone number for a Buffalo Wild Wings in San Jose, California,^[2] writing, "Call this buffalo wild wings and ask for just k for just beans they get sooo mad," garnering over 1,000 reactions and 7,400 shares in three years.

Spread

On February 19th, 2021, X^[3] user @feelxpain posted a screenshot of the Facebook post, garnering over 164,000 likes in three years. On May 13th, u/AyoMoodles made a post to /r/googleReview^[4] sharing several reviews left on Google for a Buffalo Wild Wings in California in which the reviewers mention beans, suggesting this is the same Buffalo Wild Wings from the Facebook post, garnering over 200 upvotes in three years.

On October 13th, TikToker^[5] @caturin3 posted a video about Buffalo Wild Wings employees being bombarded by calls about beans, garnering over 722,000 views in three years. This is a follow-up to a now-deleted video by the TikToker^[6] in which she shares the number and encourages viewers to call the restaurant.

On May 24th, 2022, Bad Influence Magazine^[7] published an article about the meme. On March 12th, 2023, X^[8] user @bintcrubbs shared the meme, garnering over 13,000 likes and 1,600 reposts in a year. On November 25th, 2024, X^[9] user @uxiedust made a post sharing the same information as the meme, garnering over 233,000 likes and 7,000 reposts in two days.
