Cats Photoshopped Into Animals, also known as Black Cat Photoshops, refers to a TikTok trend that was popularized in late 2023 and early 2024. After TikToker @thekittyandrea posted a video photoshopping her black cat into a gorilla, other TikTok users replicated her video format to photoshop their own cats into different animals and other things to a lesser degree. The videos are typically set to the song "Bécane" by French artist Yamê.
Origin
The song typically used in the Photoshop trend comes from the artist Yamê when he was hosted by the YouTube[1] channel COLORS on June 1st, 2023, where he sang his song "Bécane," gathering over 39 million views in eight months (seen below).
On December 7th, 2023, TikToker[2] @thekittyandrea posted a video photoshopping her cat into a gorilla, set to the aforementioned song. The post gathered over 69 million plays and 11 million likes in two months (seen below).

TikTok user @Thekittyandrea continued to post videos of her photoshopping her cats into different animals, gathering over 50 million plays and 8 million likes on a post[3] made on December 12th, 2023 (seen below, left) and over 80 million plays and 13 million likes on a post[4] made on December 23rd (seen below, right).

On December 19th, 2023, TikToker[5] @onyxfinn posted a video photoshopping his cat into a hammerhead shark, gathering over 5 million plays and 800,000 likes in a month (seen below, left). On December 22nd, TikToker[6] @lil.linuss posted a video following the trend as well, gathering over 3 million plays and 700,000 likes in a month (seen below, right).
