Destroy Lonely Begging is a viral video of OPIUM rapper Destroy Lonely begging and pleading. It was leaked amid the Destroy Lonely allegations levied by the rapper's ex-girlfriend Ayisha Mia (@ayisha.mia) who accused him of several transgressions via Twitter / X in late June 2024. The alleged context of the video was that Destroy Lonely was caught following Mia's friend to the bathroom who was purportedly the one filming. The clip of Destroy Lonely begging and screenshots of it became memes on social media platforms like TikTok and Reddit, mostly because it challenged the idea of the rapper's "aura" and reduced his "aura points." Both are related to a perception of the video being cringe, which is then compounded by the seriousness of the accusations against the rapper.

Origin

On June 24th, 2024, Destroy Lonely's ex-girlfriend Ayisha Mia posted a video to her X^[1] account @ayishamia that showed the rapper begging and pleading with the woman to stop filming him. Mia gave context for the video, captioning it, "Now bobby why are you in paris following my bestfriend in the club to the bathroom? With your security? To talk about me?" The tweet has since been deleted but many of its quotes are still accessible on X.^[2]

The first known repost of the video was shared by X^[3] user @ykkswb later on June 24th, who captioned it, "Destroy Lonely was caught following his girlfriend’s friend to the bathroom and then started begging once he saw he was being recorded," gaining over 1.6 million views and 23,000 likes in a day (shown below).

Spread

Memes with the video and screenshots of Destroy Lonely begging started to spread online. For instance, on June 24th, 2024, X^[4] user @defeatedmyevil posted two screenshots (one showing the rapper with his hands on his hips and the other showing him begging), gaining over 13,000 likes in a day (shown below, left).

Also on June 24th, X^[5] user @slimeyness tweeted a meme that added a caption reading, "how niggas be when u up pole," earning over 31,000 likes in a day (shown below, right).

On June 24th, 2024, TikToker^[6] @destroylonelygaming2011 posted a Fiber Optic Cable Core edit with the video, gaining over 105,200 plays and 32,300 likes in a day (shown below, left).

Also on June 24th, TikToker^[7] @kawseffect posted an AI Time Traveler video with an Edward Skeletrix song, reading in text overlay, "Time Traveler Stops Lone Before He Loses All Of His Aura," receiving over 810,900 plays and 158,100 likes in a day (shown below, right).

Both of the abovementioned videos were then reposted to Reddit^[8] and X^[9] in the following days.
