Dexter and Angel Batista On a Computer is a series of memes based on a screenshot from Dexter showing Dexter and Angel Batista sitting on either side of a laptop, smiling. The image comes from Dexter season one, episode two, titled "Crocodile." In February 2025, the image was popularized as an image macro meme on TikTok, in which it is associated with captions about someone showing you something on a computer. Additionally, another image of Dexter and Angel on the laptop with shocked expressions is used in some iterations of the meme.
Origin
On October 8th, 2006, the second episode of Dexter, titled "Crocodile," aired in the United States.[1] In one scene, Dexter and Angel Batista are seen on either side of a laptop, smiling at the contents of the laptop. On October 12th, 2021, a screenshot of the scene was posted to /r/Dexter[2] titled, "I hope that we will see them together for one last time," garnering over 300 upvotes in four years. This is the earliest known upload of the image online.
On January 11th, 2025, TikToker[3] @bigmanmahon posted an image macro as a slideshow consisting of the caption, "me and bro if we had a job at the same place" over the image, garnering over 1.7 million views in a month. This is the earliest known meme to use the image.

Spread
Memes using the image were popularized on TikTok in February 2025. For example, on February 5th, 2025, TikToker[4] @assshhzer0 posted a version of the meme reading, "How mf's with a 0.3 GPA look at you when they find another unblocked game website," garnering over 1.7 million views in five days.

Some versions of the meme use another image of Dexter and Batista on the computer, this time with shocked expressions, in a second slide. For example, on February 6th, TikToker[5] @b1ohaz4rd.mp3 posted a two-slide version of the meme, the first slide reading, "how mfs look at you after they enter a 30 key combo that makes your chromebook melt internally," followed by, "same mfs trying to explain to the teachers why your chromebook is 400 degrees kelvin," garnering over 2.3 million views in four days.
